Thai Nguyen allocates over 2,700 hectares of land for industrial cluster development planning

Thai Nguyen is facing a new opportunity when the merger of provinces not only increases the economic scale, but also opens up large space for developing industrial clusters (ICs), creating more jobs for local workers.

The province has planned 68 industrial clusters with a total area of ​​over 2,740 hectares; of which 40 industrial clusters have been established, with an area of ​​about 1,590 hectares.

According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Thai Nguyen , the province has planned 68 industrial clusters with a total area of ​​over 2,740 hectares; of which 40 industrial clusters have been established, with an area of ​​about 1,590 hectares, attracting 101 production projects, creating jobs for about 14,000 workers. The occupancy rate of industrial clusters reached nearly 56%. The total registered investment capital reached more than 16,600 billion VND, of which the realized value by the end of 2025 is estimated to reach nearly 5,000 billion VND.

Notably, after the merger, the industrial land fund and infrastructure development space in Thai Nguyen were expanded, helping the province have more space to plan new industrial parks, especially in the southern region - where there are advantages in traffic connection and technical infrastructure. This is an important basis for the province to attract more businesses to invest, develop production and business, thereby creating more sustainable job opportunities for workers.

Thai Nguyen has determined to develop the industrial cluster system in association with urban development and social infrastructure, ensuring regional connectivity with the capital Hanoi and the Northern midland and mountainous provinces. Along with that, the province will continue to reform administrative procedures, support small and medium enterprises, encourage the application of clean production technology, and move towards an ecological industrial cluster model.
