Currently, all HueWACO water treatment plants are still operating normally, the pipelines are basically safe. In recent days, the company has supplied 220,000 - 250,000 m3 to the network; about 20% higher than normal days; ensuring safe water supply in wards and communes of Hue city. Except for Thuong Long Clean Water Plant (Long Quang commune) which has temporarily stopped operating due to high risk of landslides.
In addition, after floods, cleaning up in many areas will cause localized water shortages at some points.
Previously, on Facebook, a user posted content with the paragraph "Get up and "store water" all day tomorrow, the water will be cut off!" causing confusion for people in Hue city.
On November 2, Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Hoang Hai Minh also issued a document on creating favorable conditions for construction to repair water supply pipelines affected by floods.
Accordingly, to ensure timely water supply for 2,487 households affected by the water supply pipeline in the area across Huong Tho river being washed away (due to the impact of rain and floods), Hue City People's Committee requested Road Management Area II to support and create conditions for Hue Water Supply Joint Stock Company to construct an exposed pipeline (D90 HDPE pipeline, length 500m). Hue Water Supply Joint Stock Company is responsible for ensuring the safety of the current construction, not affecting traffic safety on the route. The Department of Construction proactively monitors and supports Hue Water Supply Joint Stock Company in the construction process to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
