On the morning of November 6, the Ministry of Health sent an official dispatch to the health departments of provinces and cities in the Central region and affiliated medical units about proactively deploying medical work to respond to storm No. 13.

The Ministry of Health requested to strictly implement the directives of the Prime Minister, the National Civil Defense Steering Committee and the Ministry of Health in responding to storms and post-storm floods, ensuring people's safety.

Units and localities closely monitor the developments of storms, rain and flood situations; proactively review plans and solutions for storm and flood prevention and response and deploy storm and flood prevention and response work in accordance with natural disaster developments and practical requirements of localities, in accordance with the Prime Minister 's direction to "be proactive early and from afar", with the most determined spirit, anticipate the worst scenario, deploy prevention, avoidance and response measures at the highest level to absolutely ensure the safety of people's lives, limit damage to people's and State's property, and avoid being passive or surprised in any situation.

Medical facilities organize specialized and emergency services 24/7, ready to receive, provide emergency care, and treat victims caused by storms and floods; ensure adequate supply of essential medicines for people, supplement reserves of medicines, chemicals, materials, and backup power supply equipment to be ready for use in case of emergency according to the 4-on-the-spot principle.

Deploy plans to protect medical facilities in areas at risk of being affected by floods; proactively evacuate and protect people and property in low-lying areas at risk of flooding, flash floods, landslides; closely monitor and respond to epidemics during storms, floods, and landslides.

At the same time, early detection and timely handling of epidemic situations, environmental sanitation organization, ensuring clean water and food safety during and after storms and floods, absolutely not allowing epidemics to break out after floods.

Arrange and stabilize medical facilities, ensure medical examination and treatment for people after floods.
