Planting 10,000 casuarina trees to prevent coastal erosion at Xuan Thanh Tourist Area

(Baohatinh.vn) - To restore the broken and damaged coastal trees, Tien Dien commune (Ha Tinh) mobilized forces to plant 10,000 casuarina trees along the coast at Xuan Thanh Tourist Area.

On the morning of November 3, Tien Dien commune coordinated with other forces to plant casuarina trees in some protective forest areas along the coast of Xuan Thanh Tourist Area.

Due to the impact of storms and tropical depressions, thousands of casuarina trees have fallen on the beach area of ​​Xuan Thanh Tourist Area, Tien Dien Commune, directly affecting the coastal environment.

To overcome the above situation, Tien Dien commune coordinated with units to mobilize nearly 300 human resources including armed forces, officials, commune officials and local people to participate in planting 10,000 casuarina trees along the coast. The number of casuarina trees above was sponsored by the Northern volunteer group with a total cost of more than 70 million VND .

The forces planted trees along the coast nearly 3 km long to block sand and waves, protect the coastal environment and coastal structures from the impact of storms, flying sand and erosion.
