VinFast VF 5 is currently on sale in Vietnam with only 1 version, listed price 529 million VND. In November 2025, the estimated rolling price will be 551 million VND in Hanoi, 551 million VND in Ho Chi Minh City and 532 million VND in other provinces/cities. The A+ electric SUV uses a 37.23 kWh lithium battery, announced range of more than 300 km according to NEDC standard and DC fast charging 10-80% in about 30 minutes.

VinFast will stop the policy of renting batteries for electric cars and motorbikes from March 1, 2025. The company will also extend the free battery charging for another 6 months for customers who own electric cars with batteries, until December 31, 2027. Regarding registration fees, Decree 51/2025/ND-CP (issued on March 1, 2025) extends the period of 100% exemption of registration fees for battery-powered electric vehicles until February 28, 2027.
Compact size, clear VinFast design DNA
VF 5 belongs to the A+ SUV segment, competing with gasoline models such as KIA Sonet, Toyota Raize, Hyundai Venue. Dimensions L x W x H are 3,965 x 1,720 x 1,580 mm, wheelbase 2,513 mm, ground clearance 182 mm. 17-inch rims come with Pirelli P-Zero 225/40R17 tires.
The styling was designed by Torino Design and Pininfarina, with the distinctive V-shaped design at the front of the car. The lighting system uses halogen headlights, LED daytime running lights; the headlights have automatic on/off and automatic high/low. Because it is an electric car, the grille is closed; the front bumper is covered with glossy black plastic to create a sporty highlight. The charging port is located on the right side.
VF 5 has 16 exterior colors, of which 10 are two-tone. Electrically adjustable rearview mirrors with integrated turn signals; shark fin antenna and roof-colored spoiler. The rear end emphasizes the “bird wing” graphic, low-set headlights, and black rear bumper.
Minimalist cabin, focusing on driver experience
The interior is minimalist, with three color options: black, black mixed with blue, black mixed with orange. The dashboard features two screens: a 7-inch digital clock cluster behind the steering wheel and an 8-inch touchscreen entertainment screen. The central screen supports voice commands; does not support Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.
Leatherette seats, front row mechanical adjustment (6-way steering, 4-way passenger); rear row folding 60:40. Three-spoke, beveled-bottom steering wheel, 2-way mechanical adjustment, integrated volume and hands-free calling buttons. One-touch glass on the driver's seat, single-zone mechanical air conditioning; the car does not have rear seat air vents.
The entertainment system includes 4 speakers, USB connection, Bluetooth, AM/FM, hands-free calling. The car supports virtual assistant, automatic error diagnosis, driver profile tracking and recording, remote positioning, monitoring and warning of unauthorized intrusion, remote software updates, scheduling charging according to habits and controlling smart home devices. Manage the car via phone application.
