At the meeting, comrade Nguyen Tan Phuong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Tam Giang Commune Party Committee, said: The commune health station was merged and put into stable operation from July 1. Currently, the station maintains good medical examination and treatment at 3 stations including Hiep Tung, Tam Giang and Tam Giang Dong, providing first aid to the people. From July 1 to September 30, the station received and examined more than 2,800 people, and promptly handled 17 cases of disease arising in the area, preventing disease outbreaks.
The delegation exchanged and inquired about the working situation of the medical team at Tam Giang Medical Station.
The working group also had direct discussions with medical staff and local people to better understand the difficulties and problems in community health care.

By 2024, the station will continue to invest in repairing 3 rooms and building 1 expanded vaccination room, and will be equipped with many new devices, contributing to expanding the medical network in difficult areas.
However, the biggest difficulty at present is the lack of human resources, and the recruitment of medical staff at the commune level still faces many obstacles. Comrade Nguyen Tan Phuong suggested that the province should soon supplement the missing staff, and at the same time consider special incentive mechanisms and policies to attract doctors and medical staff to work in the locality.
At the medical stations there is still a shortage of staff, doctors and nurses.

Also during the working session, Comrade Tu Van Lang, Chairman of Tan Tien Commune People's Committee, shared: due to the large area, difficult roads, degraded facilities and lack of uniform equipment, the medical examination and treatment activities of the commune health station are still limited. He recommended that the province soon allocate investment funds to upgrade infrastructure and medical equipment, and at the same time increase human resources for the health station to better meet the needs of medical examination, treatment and health care for the people.
According to local information, due to the large area, medical work is not yet deep, wide and tight.
In Ta An Khuong commune, the medical station was formed on the basis of merging 3 medical stations including Ta An Khuong, Ta An Khuong Dong and Ta An Khuong Nam. The head office is currently located at the old Ta An Khuong medical station, however the facilities have seriously degraded, many equipments invested long ago are now damaged, there are no spare parts for repair.
At the meeting, Mr. Pham Nhat Linh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Commune Party Committee, proposed to consider moving the station's headquarters to Ta An Khuong Dong (old), and at the same time take advantage of the headquarters of the People's Committee of Ta An Khuong Dong (old) to serve the medical examination and treatment work for the people, ensuring more convenience for professional activities and health care needs in the locality.
