The bauhinia flowers usually bloom in March. However, this year they bloomed about a month earlier. Along many streets in Muong Thanh ward, in Hoa Ban Park, and in the city center, the dark, gnarled bauhinia trees, which have withstood the winter cold, are gradually shedding their leaves, stretching their branches, and revealing clusters of white blossoms in this mountain town.
