Tourists who have enjoyed banh mi thit xiu in Hue commented that this dish is not too special but is still attractive because of its small size and the pork xiu is stewed until soft and kept on a charcoal stove so it is always hot.

Thu Phuong (from Hanoi) shared: “On my recent trip to Hue, a friend took me to Dong Ba market to enjoy the pork sandwich. The sandwich is about the size of 3 fingers, the crust is crispy, the pork is not too lean or fatty, the sauce is rich. This sandwich is quite unique, suitable for those with a weak appetite like me because I only need to bite 3-4 pieces to finish it, without worrying about feeling full or bored.”
