The Ministry of Foreign Affairs delegation worked with Tay Ninh province on local foreign affairs.

On August 22, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs delegation led by Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang had a working session with Tay Ninh province on the locality's foreign affairs in the past time and future directions.

At the meeting, comrade Nguyen Hong Thanh, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, informed about the local socio -economic development situation, the results achieved in foreign affairs and international integration.

Tay Ninh's economic scale in 2025 is estimated to reach over 352,000 billion VND, ranking among the top 10 localities in the country. With 3 border economic zones including Long An , Moc Bai, Xa Mat, Tay Ninh has many strengths to develop dynamically and sustainably, becoming a new growth pole of the Southern Key Economic Zone.

Regarding foreign affairs, Tay Ninh province has signed and established official cooperative relations with 16 foreign localities, focusing on the fields of investment, trade, education , health, culture, labor and public administration. Border management, border gates, demarcation and marker planting have been implemented synchronously, promoting the strength of the locality with the longest border in the country.

Vice Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh informed about the local socio-economic development situation.

Based on the potential and strengths of the province, Vice Chairman Nguyen Hong Thanh proposed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs support connections with international partners to expand export markets, attract more resources, develop infrastructure connecting localities and between localities and border areas to make the most of the opportunities and strengths that Tay Ninh currently has. The province also proposed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs support the management and protection of borders and border gates, contributing to promoting socio-economic development, especially border trade.

Expressing her joy at visiting and working in Tay Ninh province, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Hang said that the visit aimed to actively implement the Party and State's policies on Mekong sub-regional cooperation, and the Prime Minister's direction on implementing the Project "Strengthening international cooperation to build and develop Vietnam's Halal industry by 2030".

The Deputy Minister highly appreciated the potentials and development advantages and congratulated the socio-economic development results of the province in recent times, especially after the merger of Tay Ninh and Long An provinces. Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang said that in order to concretize the instructions of senior leaders on ensuring a peaceful environment for national development and enhancing the prestige and position of Vietnam, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and localities need to discuss and identify development priorities, have a clear implementation roadmap and specific results.

Based on the province's proposals, Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang affirmed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is ready to accompany and support localities in strengthening foreign affairs and international integration in the new context, focusing on building and implementing socio-economic development plans and projects, attracting resources, connecting with partners, doing well in border and territorial work, contributing to maintaining a peaceful and stable environment for national development.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang also suggested that Tay Ninh province promote cultural diplomacy to promote the local image, contribute to economic and tourism development and exploit the cultural potential of Tay Ninh.

Training course to improve knowledge on Halal and Conference “Enhancing supply chain connectivity of Mekong Delta with Middle East - Africa: Strategic role of UAE”.

Within the framework of the working trip, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized a series of conferences to disseminate the Party and State's policies on Mekong sub-regional cooperation; a training course to improve knowledge on Halal and a conference on "Enhancing connectivity of the Mekong Delta supply chain with the Middle East - Africa: The strategic role of the UAE".

The conferences have contributed to raising awareness among localities, businesses and associations about the role of the Halal industry and Mekong sub-regional cooperation in the economic development of the region, while strengthening the connection between the Mekong Delta with the UAE and the Middle East - Africa region.
