Hanoi police will coordinate with other units to review and compile information systems, assess security vulnerabilities, scan for malware on servers and workstations, and conduct periodic checks for cybersecurity risks.

The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued Official Document No. 3518/UBND-CAHN on ensuring cybersecurity and information safety during mergers and reorganizations in the city.

Accordingly, the Hanoi People's Committee requests that departments, agencies, and equivalent bodies that have undergone mergers; the People's Committees of districts, counties, and towns that are in charge of the information system; and the units assigned to manage and operate the system coordinate with the Hanoi City Police to implement the following: Develop operational plans and synchronize data for the information system for handling administrative procedures; ensure the availability and prevent system and service interruptions without prior planning.

Simultaneously, solutions should be implemented to back up and restore systems and data; review all system accounts and personnel, assigning appropriate permissions based on job roles and responsibilities; revoke accounts of retired or transferred officials and employees; apply multi-factor authentication, log logins, and prevent sharing or common use of accounts; propose funding for equipment investment; train high-quality personnel; and conduct periodic self-assessments of cybersecurity and information security...

The City Police will coordinate with the aforementioned units to review and compile information systems, assess security vulnerabilities, scan for malware on servers and workstations, and conduct periodic checks for cybersecurity risks.

Furthermore, the City Police, in coordination with members of the City's Cybersecurity and Safety Subcommittee and relevant agencies and units, advised the City People's Committee to disseminate regulations on ensuring cybersecurity, information security, and system confidentiality during operation to officials and employees; organize training to raise awareness and monitor the situation in cyberspace regarding the buying and selling of data, user accounts, and administrator accounts; identify weaknesses, security vulnerabilities, and instances of cybersecurity and information security breaches for timely handling.
