Ha Giang Newspaper conducts training on the Converged Newsroom software in preparation for the merger.

BHG - On the morning of June 25th, Ha Giang Newspaper, in coordination with Tuyen Quang Newspaper and Radio and Television Station, organized a training session on using the converged newsroom software, in preparation for the merger of the two media agencies, expected to take place from July 1st, 2025.

Editors and reporters from Ha Giang Newspaper participated in training on the Tuyen Quang Newspaper's converged newsroom software.

The training session was attended by technical staff, reporters, and editors from Ha Giang Newspaper. Using the converged newsroom software, staff from Tuyen Quang Newspaper and Radio and Television Station guided participants on key topics including: the process of producing news articles, photos, and videos according to the converged newsroom model; how to coordinate between reporters, editors, and editorial secretaries; and skills in synchronously publishing content on both print and online platforms.

According to our reporter's observations, the Tuyen Quang Newspaper (formerly) converged newsroom software has an intuitive interface, is easy to use, and supports the management of the newsmaking process in a modern way, from publication planning to progress tracking and content censorship. Some reporters became proficient in using it after only a few hours of practice, demonstrating their quick adaptation to the new technical platform.

Reporter Nguyen Dieu from Ha Giang Newspaper shared: “I was familiar with the editorial process of the Ha Giang Newspaper's converged newsroom. Initially, approaching and getting acquainted with the Tuyen Quang Newspaper's converged newsroom was a bit daunting, but after a period of guidance, I quickly adapted.”

Reporter Hoang Tuyen said: "I find that the Tuyen Quang Newspaper's converged newsroom software updates reporters' news and articles quite quickly. The software has a smooth transmission, is innovative, creative, and applies new technologies in digital transformation. This is a practical tool to support the upcoming converged newsroom model."

Following the merger of Ha Giang Newspaper with Tuyen Quang Newspaper and Radio and Television Station, the new provincial media agency is expected to use the integrated newsroom software of the former Tuyen Quang Newspaper. Therefore, preparing the necessary conditions for the staff, editors, and reporters of Ha Giang Newspaper to access and operate the new software will contribute to improving the effectiveness of information dissemination to serve the political tasks and reader needs of Tuyen Quang province in the future.
