From June 6th to 8th, the Thanh Hoa City Police continuously cracked down on and dismantled two drug hotspots, arresting 25 individuals involved in the illegal buying, selling, storing, and organizing of drug use.
The drug traffickers were arrested.
Through intelligence gathering, two hotspots for illegal drug trafficking have recently emerged in Thanh Hoa City, led by Le Trung Long, born in 1997, residing in Dong Huong Ward, and Nguyen Van Thang (aka Thang Doa), born in 1997, residing in Truong Thi Ward, Thanh Hoa City.
These two groups operate in a complex manner, frequently colluding to engage in the illegal trafficking of narcotics. With their cunning and devious nature, both Long and Thắng do not directly deliver the drugs themselves, but instead direct their subordinates—young, idle, and dissolute individuals—to carry out the transactions. Long and Thắng provide these individuals with food, lodging, and pay them with drugs. When customers need to buy drugs, they contact Long and Thắng by phone, after which Long and Thắng direct their subordinates to distribute and deliver the drugs to the customers.
To dismantle this complex drug trafficking ring, the Thanh Hoa City Police mobilized forces and implemented a comprehensive set of surprise operational measures, catching Lê Xuân Nam, born in 2001 (an associate of Lê Trung Long), residing in Xuân Khang commune, Như Thanh district, red-handed while illegally buying and selling drugs.
Expanding the investigation, Thanh Hoa City Police arrested four more individuals in Le Trung Long's group: Le Trung Long, born in 1997, residing in Dong Huong Ward; Nguyen Huu Toan, born in 2000, residing in Dong Huong Ward; Nguyen Huy Anh, born in 2004, residing in Nam Ngan Ward; and Phung Van Cong, born in 1995, residing in Nam Ngan Ward, Thanh Hoa City.
At 6 PM on the same day, Thanh Hoa City Police continued to arrest Nguyen Van Thang, born in 1997, residing in Truong Thi Ward, Thanh Hoa City, along with 16 other individuals involved in the illegal buying, selling, possessing, and organizing the use of narcotics. The total seized evidence included 16 packets of heroin, 144 ecstasy pills, 46 packets of marijuana, and other related items.
Currently, the Thanh Hoa City Police Investigation Agency has placed 19 suspects under temporary criminal detention to continue investigating and expanding the cases.
