Chairman and CEO of Thuan An Group Arrested

On April 15th, the Investigation Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security issued a decision to prosecute and temporarily detain Nguyen Duy Hung, Chairman of Thuan An Group Joint Stock Company, for investigation into the crime of violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences.

The Supreme People's Procuratorate has approved the aforementioned decisions and procedural orders.

The suspect Nguyen Duy Hung was arrested during the investigation by the Department of Investigation of Crimes related to Corruption, Economics , and Smuggling (C03) into the case of "Violation of bidding regulations causing serious consequences; Giving bribes; Receiving bribes" that occurred at Thuan An Group Joint Stock Company and related units and organizations.

The defendants are Nguyen Duy Hung and Tran Anh Quang.

In the same case, C03 issued a decision to prosecute and ordered the temporary arrest of Mr. Tran Anh Quang, General Director of Thuan An Group Joint Stock Company, on charges of "giving bribes".

Mr. Nguyen Khac Man, Deputy General Director of Thuan An Group, has been prosecuted and temporarily detained by C03 on charges of "Violating regulations on bidding causing serious consequences" and "Receiving bribes".

The investigating agency also initiated criminal proceedings and issued arrest warrants for two officials of the Bac Giang Provincial Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Transportation and Agricultural Projects: Nguyen Van Thao - Director of the Board and Dam Van Cuong - Deputy Director of the Board.

Both defendants are being investigated for "Violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences," while Mr. Thao is also being investigated for "Receiving bribes."

After the Supreme People's Procuratorate approved the above decisions and orders, C03 served the procedural decisions, executed the arrest warrants for the suspects for temporary detention, and issued search warrants for the aforementioned individuals to serve the investigation.

Currently, the Investigation Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security is focusing its resources and expanding the investigation to clarify the violations committed by the defendants and the wrongdoings at Thuan An Group Joint Stock Company and related units, organizations, and individuals, in order to strictly handle them according to the law and thoroughly recover the assets.
