Authorities arrest suspect for breaking into a house and stealing property.

The Criminal Investigation Department of the Provincial Police is currently detaining Nguyen Khac Dien (born in 1993, residing in Khanh Xuan Ward, Buon Ma Thuot City) for investigation into the act of theft.

Nguyen Khac Dien is a repeat offender with three previous convictions for theft. He recently completed his prison sentence and was released in May 2024. He is a drug addict and lacks a stable job. Due to his need for money for personal expenses and to buy drugs, Dien continued to commit crimes.

The suspect Nguyen Khac Dien has been arrested.

At approximately 3:00 AM on April 13th, Diện was walking along Sam Bram Street (Ea Tam Ward, Buon Ma Thuot City) when he noticed a house with its gate locked but the lights still on inside. Wearing a mask, gloves, and a hood covering his head, Diện climbed over the fence and entered through the front door. Seeing that the door was unlocked, he sneaked inside and stole a computer CPU, an iPhone 15 Pro Max, a pair of headphones, and a wallet containing 2.9 million VND in cash. He then used a key to unlock the gate and escape. The total value of the stolen property is estimated at nearly 50 million VND.

Upon receiving reports from citizens, the Criminal Police Department of the Provincial Police promptly deployed forces to investigate and track down the perpetrators. Using professional methods, by the night of April 16th, the police force arrested Nguyen Khac Dien and recovered all the stolen property, promptly returning it to the victim.
