Thus, as of 6:30 PM on June 12th, the total number of suspects arrested has reached 27. Authorities also seized a number of military weapons and are currently actively pursuing the remaining suspects and investigating the case.
As previously reported, early on the morning of June 11th, a group of people used guns to attack the headquarters of Ea Tiêu and Ea Ktur communes in Cư Kuin district, killing and injuring several commune police officers, commune officials, and local residents.
According to the Ministry of Public Security, the attack resulted in the deaths of four commune police officers, two commune officials, three civilians, and two commune police officers who were seriously injured.
Leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, provincial leaders, and the Dak Lak Provincial Police directed relevant units to urgently carry out procedures to recognize the four deceased commune police officers as martyrs, grant war invalid benefits to the two injured commune police officers, and ensure proper implementation of policies and benefits for the deceased commune officials and citizens.
On June 12th, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang signed a decision awarding the "Homeland's Recognition" certificate to six martyrs who died in the attack on the commune headquarters in Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak province. Among the six martyrs, four belonged to the Ministry of Public Security: Martyr Hoang Trung, a Major in the People's Public Security Force, a police officer in Ea Ktur commune, Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak province (originally from Nghi Thu ward, Cua Lo town, Nghe An province); Martyr Tran Quoc Thang, a Major in the People's Public Security Force, a police officer in Ea Tieu commune, Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak province (originally from Thach Binh commune, Thach Ha district, Ha Tinh province); Martyr Ha Tuan Anh, a Captain in the People's Public Security Force, a police officer in Ea Tieu commune, Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak province (originally from Dong Loi commune, Trieu Son district, Thanh Hoa province). Martyr Nguyen Dang Nhan, Police Captain, officer of Ea Ktur commune police station, Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak province (originally from Tan Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, Nghe An province).
Two martyrs from Dak Lak province are: Martyr Nguyen Van Kien, Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of Ea Ktur commune, Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak province (originally from Lien Nghia commune, Van Giang district, Hung Yen province) and Martyr Nguyen Van Dung, Deputy Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Committee of Ea Tieu commune, Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak province (originally from Hung Tien commune, Nam Dan district, Nghe An province).
