In his capacity as Assistant for Mass Mobilization Affairs, Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Duc Tu effectively advised the Party Committee and commanders at all levels on the implementation of political and ideological education, propaganda, emulation campaigns, and cultural and artistic activities, achieving practical quality and attracting a large number of officers and members to participate. These practical programs and activities contributed to encouraging and motivating officers and soldiers in the unit to actively compete and successfully complete their assigned tasks.

Not only is he highly skilled professionally, Lieutenant Nguyen Duc Tu also actively participates in competitions and sports events, achieving many outstanding results. In 2025, he won second prize in the excellent political lecture competition, the A prize in the Division-level competition for models, initiatives, and technical improvements; and the C prize in the Nguyen Viet Xuan Award at the Military Region 4 level. With his active contributions, the 324th Division team won first prize in the competition to learn about the 80-year tradition of the Armed Forces of Military Region 4 and second prize in the political essay competition on defending the ideological foundation of the Party at the Military Region level. In addition, Duc Tu, along with the Military Region 4 team, achieved excellent results in the 2024 All-Army Young Propagandist Competition and second prize in the "Vietnam in My Eyes" competition on the history and traditions of the nation organized by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

As a youth leader, Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Duc Tu, along with the Executive Committee, effectively implemented many practical models such as: "The 100 Dong House," "Green Vitality," "One Good, Two No's, Three Trainings," and "Smoke-Free Youth Union Branch"... Through these initiatives, he contributed to raising awareness and responsibility among youth union members in training, discipline, building a regular unit, and fostering a healthy cultural environment throughout the Division. He also consistently took the lead in organizing "Gratitude and Repayment" activities, volunteering for the community, and actively assisting disadvantaged families and those with difficult circumstances in the area where the unit is stationed, contributing to strengthening military-civilian solidarity.

In particular, in 2025, when floods occurred in Muong Xen and Tuong Duong districts ( Nghe An province), Lieutenant Nguyen Duc Tu directly participated with officers and soldiers of his unit and local authorities in helping people prevent, combat, and overcome the consequences of the natural disaster. He and his comrades actively evacuated people and property from dangerous areas, assisted people in rebuilding houses, cleared mud and debris, unblocked waterways, and repaired public infrastructure, leaving a positive impression on the local people.

Lieutenant Nguyen Duc Tu's efforts and contributions have been recognized by various levels with numerous prestigious awards and titles. These include two times receiving the title of "Outstanding Soldier of the Entire Army" (2022, 2025), seven consecutive years receiving the title of "Outstanding Soldier at the grassroots level" (2019-2025); and in 2024 being selected as a "Promising Young Face of the Entire Army". In 2025, Lieutenant Nguyen Duc Tu will receive the title of "Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings" at the national level.
