On January 31st, the Party Committee and the Command of the Border Guard Force of Thanh Hoa province held a ceremony to announce the decision to merge and reorganize the Logistics Department and the Technical Department into the Logistics - Technical Department. Colonel Do Ngoc Vinh, Provincial Party Committee member and Commander of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard Force Command, presided over the ceremony.

At the ceremony, the Party Committee and the Command of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard announced the Decisions of the Ministry of National Defense and the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army on the merger and reorganization of the Logistics Department and the Technical Department into the Logistics-Technical Department; announced and presented the Decisions of the Border Guard Command and the Thanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard Command on the transfer and appointment of officers and professional soldiers; and announced and presented the Decision on the establishment of the Party Committee of the Logistics-Technical Department.

Colonel Le Van Nam, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Provincial Border Guard Command, presented the Decision on the transfer of professional soldiers from the Logistics and Technical Department.

According to the Decision, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dang Manh holds the position of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Head of the Logistics and Technical Department; Lieutenant Colonel Le Xuan Binh is the Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Head of the Logistics and Technical Department.

Reorganizing the Logistics and Technical Department is a very important task in implementing the "three breakthroughs" according to the Resolution of the 11th Congress of the Party Committee of the Army (breakthroughs in adjusting organization and staffing to suit the requirements of the new era).

Colonel Hoang Van Hung, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard, presented the Decision appointing the Secretary, Deputy Secretary, and Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the Logistics and Technical Department for the 2020-2025 term.

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Hoang Van Hung, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard, praised and acknowledged the achievements of the Logistics Department and the Technical Department over the past years. He also requested that the Logistics and Technical Department promptly stabilize its organization and staffing, adjust plans and documents in a timely manner, enhance the leadership capacity of the Party committee and Party organizations, and quickly begin operations according to its functions and tasks, building a strong and comprehensive Logistics and Technical branch of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard and successfully completing assigned tasks, contributing to building a strong and comprehensive unit.

On the same day, the Party Committee and the Provincial Border Guard Command held a handover ceremony for the position of Head of Logistics and Technical Services.
