The patient was quickly taken to the emergency room at the Song Tu Tay Island Clinic.
The patient is Mr. Dang An (born in 1992, residing in Hoai Nhon town, Binh Dinh province), a crew member of fishing vessel BD 98291TS, captained by Mr. Dang Duong, also from the same hometown.
According to the captain of fishing vessel BD 98291TS, during fishing operations approximately 20 nautical miles from Song Tu Tay Island (part of the Truong Sa archipelago), the patient dived three times on April 26th, with the last dive reaching a depth of about 35 meters. Upon returning to the vessel, the patient experienced numbness, weakness in both limbs, and slurred speech. The crew members took him to the Song Tu Tay Island Medical Clinic for emergency treatment in a conscious and responsive state.

Upon examination, doctors diagnosed the patient with acute decompression sickness, severe (type 2), caused by diving to a depth of 35 meters for 11 hours. The patient is continuing to be monitored and treated at the island's infirmary.
