On the morning of August 31st, hundreds of thousands of people flocked to the National Exhibition Center in Dong Anh commune, Hanoi , to visit an exhibition showcasing the country's achievements over the past 80 years.

According to Tuoi Tre Online , from early morning, many people from all over flocked to the exhibition center area, causing prolonged traffic congestion on Hoang Sa road from Dong Tru bridge to Vo Chi Cong road in both directions.

By midday and early afternoon, the influx of people continued unabated, almost paralyzing the road in both directions. Many people had to walk across the street to get to the exhibition center, and many cars were even parked on the street and sidewalks because they couldn't move.

Authorities, including police, traffic police, and security guards, were deployed at intersections to manage traffic flow, but the flow of people still only moved forward little by little.

"It was quite inconvenient because of the traffic, but it was worth the trip once I got here because I got to admire the incredible achievements of my country," Hung shared.

Mr. Nguyen Hung (Hoang Mai, Hanoi) said that he and his family arrived at 6:30 AM but it took them nearly three hours to get to the exhibition area.

Meanwhile, Le Huyen Anh (Tu Son, Bac Ninh ) said that although she knew there would be traffic jams, she didn't expect it to be so crowded today.

"I took a taxi across the Dong Tru bridge, but it was impassable. I had to get out and hire a motorbike taxi to get the remaining 3km to the exhibition center."

"But it was definitely worth the effort to come here, when I saw how much my country has developed beyond my imagination, especially in fields like defense and science and technology," Huyen Anh shared.

Observations show that both the indoor and outdoor exhibition areas were packed with visitors.
