By 2025, Binh Lieu district aims to attract 500,000 tourists, including 20,000 international visitors, achieving total revenue of over 217.26 billion VND and creating jobs for approximately 1,000 workers. Mr. Vi Ngoc Nhat, Head of the District's Department of Culture, Science and Information, stated: To realize this goal, the district is implementing a comprehensive set of solutions, innovating tourism products, and diversifying tourism activities.

Accordingly, one of the key directions is for the district to improve the quality of tourism services and infrastructure; invest in upgrading transportation, especially main roads connecting communes and villages; expand connectivity to destinations, making it easier for tourists to access ecological areas, villages, and scenic spots. At the same time, emphasis will be placed on developing diverse types of accommodation, especially homestays, farmstays, and eco-tourism models connected with nature, creating unique and intimate accommodation spaces .

Binh Lieu boasts beautiful natural scenery that attracts tourists.

Ecotourism continues to be a key focus, with nature exploration tours, trekking, and outdoor excursions to destinations such as Cao Xiêm and Cao Ly mountains, Khe Vằn and Khe Tiền waterfalls, Đồng Long forest, and Lục Hồn terraced rice fields. These products are specifically designed to attract young people, nature lovers, and adventure tourists. Simultaneously, community-based tourism is being systematically implemented in villages such as Phạt Chỉ, Khe Tiền, and Sông Moóc.

Here, visitors can experience the daily life of the Dao and San Chi ethnic groups through activities such as making cakes, weaving, pounding rice, and participating in traditional cultural activities. Agricultural products and traditional crafts such as cassava vermicelli, tea picking, and forest honey are integrated into the experiential tours, contributing to the development of unique agricultural tourism. Highlights such as the cassava flower park and the Huc Dong flower garden, combined with highland cuisine, are creating a fresh attraction for tourism in Binh Lieu.

Binh Lieu is also gradually developing and exploiting specialized tourism routes, creating its own unique identity, such as the route exploring Cao Xiem peak - the "roof of Quang Ninh", the route experiencing the golden season - cloud hunting - and rhododendron flower hunting; and the route focusing on cultural festivals - traditional crafts - and historical sites. These products not only enhance the experience for tourists but also contribute to the preservation and promotion of local cultural values.

Binh Lieu is making breakthroughs by strengthening regional linkages and international cooperation, such as with JICA and major tourism companies; at the same time, it is proactively connecting border tourism routes through the Hoanh Mo (Vietnam) - Dong Trung (China) border gate, aiming to improve the quality and diversity of tourism products. In 2025, Binh Lieu will be vibrant with a series of rich cultural and tourism events.

Many unique festivals of the Tay, Dao, and San Chi ethnic groups take place throughout the year, such as the Luc Na Temple Festival, Soong Co Festival, Kieng Gio Festival, Mua Vang Festival, and Hoa So Festival. In addition, sporting activities such as Cao Xiem trail running, mountain biking, and mountain climbing are also regularly organized, enriching the experience and promoting the local image.

In addition, the district is promoting digital communication by building a website integrating digital maps and destination databases; producing promotional videos showcasing new technologies; organizing famtrips and press trips to connect businesses and the media; and effectively utilizing social media and KOLs to spread an attractive and distinctive image of the locality.

Many cultural experiences will be introduced to visitors.

With a clear direction, specialized investment products, and continuous innovation, Binh Lieu aims not only for the number of tourists or revenue, but also to become a leading destination for ecotourism and community culture – where every journey is a trip that touches the depth of identity and soul of the Northeast highlands.

For sustainable development, Binh Lieu needs to overcome challenges such as inadequate infrastructure, difficulty accessing ecological areas, a shortage of tourism human resources, and the preservation of cultural identity. Along with this, it needs to strengthen promotion and market connections, especially with international tourists, to improve both the quantity and quality of visitors.
