Implementing the directive of the Ministry of National Defense and the plan of the Military Region 4 Command, the Hue City Military Command selected 5 officers to join the Coast Guard and 15 militia and self-defense soldiers to join the Northern female militia to practice and participate in the parade at the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.

After nearly 5 months of carrying out the mission, in unfavorable weather conditions, moving to many different locations, the officers and militia and self-defense forces were always united, made efforts, overcame all difficulties, strictly followed discipline, and excellently completed the assigned tasks.
With the results and achievements, 1 officer and 1 militia soldier were honored to receive a certificate of merit from the Ministry of National Defense; 5 militia soldiers were awarded certificates of merit by the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army.
