The Ministry of Science and Technology was awarded the First Class Labor Medal.

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Post and Telecommunications sector (BC&VT) and the 66th anniversary of the Science and Technology sector (KH&CN), the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) was honored to receive the First Class Labor Medal from General Secretary To Lam.

On the afternoon of September 29 in Hanoi, the Ministry of Science and Technology held a ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Post and Telecommunications sector, the 66th anniversary of the Science and Technology sector and the 1st Patriotic Emulation Congress.

With outstanding achievements in consulting on science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation, contributing to the cause of national construction and defense in the 2023-2025 period, the Ministry of Science and Technology was awarded the First Class Labor Medal, according to the decision of the President.

Comrade Nguyen Manh Hung, Minister of Science and Technology, Major General, former Chairman - General Director of the Military Telecommunications Group, was awarded the First Class Fatherland Protection Medal. In the President's Decision, Comrade Nguyen Manh Hung was recognized for "having outstanding achievements in research and application of science and technology combined with national defense and security, contributing to the cause of building the army, strengthening national defense and protecting the Fatherland".

The 80th anniversary of the Post and Telecommunications sector, the 66th anniversary of the Science and Technology sector, and the 1st Patriotic Emulation Congress are the largest events since March when the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Ministry of Science and Technology merged into the Ministry of Science and Technology. The event was attended by more than 2,700 delegates, including nearly 2,000 former officials of the two sectors through the years.

The celebration is an opportunity to review glorious history, pay tribute to the contributions of previous generations, arouse the spirit of innovation in the new period, and affirm the industry's determination in the new era, when science, technology, innovation and digital transformation are identified as the central driving forces for national development.
