Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism: 'Focus on spreading Vietnamese faith, intelligence and bravery'

Speaking at the 4th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Minister Nguyen Van Hung affirmed that cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of the industry need to make efforts to learn and strive to spread Vietnamese intelligence and bravery.

Speaking at the 4th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (held on the morning of September 25), Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung affirmed that the congress is an important political event, a great festival, a place to gather, commend and honor typical and advanced collectives and individuals in the patriotic emulation movement of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the period of 2021 - 2025; at the same time, together to arouse, spread and multiply the flame of patriotic emulation that Uncle Ho lit.

Minister Nguyen Van Hung said that in his call for patriotic emulation, President Ho Chi Minh advised: "Emulation is patriotism, patriotism requires emulation, those who emulate are the most patriotic." That call has become a command of the heart, a sacred call that stirs every cadre, civil servant, public employee, and worker in the industry to strive to emulate and achieve many results.

With the consistent motto "Decisive action - Aspiration to contribute", with a spirit of learning and modesty, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung affirmed that in culture, we compete to preserve and foster identity, nurture the national soul, proactively integrate and promote culture to international friends; in sports, we compete to practice to make the flag and colors famous, enhance the position of the country in the international arena; in tourism, we compete to innovate and create to make Vietnam a safe, friendly and attractive destination, becoming a bright spot in the socio -economic picture for many years; the press and media become "The conduit of knowledge - Connecting the trust between the Party, the State and the People".

"State management sectors are focusing on the mission of preserving the national soul, arousing the desire for development, spreading Vietnamese faith, intelligence and mettle," Minister Nguyen Van Hung emphasized.

Over the past 5 years, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has presented nearly 400 Labor Medals, nearly 800 certificates of merit from the Prime Minister, 26 collectives were awarded the "Government Emulation Flag"; the President awarded 16 Ho Chi Minh Awards, 112 State Awards, 124 People's Artists, 268 Meritorious Artists, 65 People's Artisans, 563 Meritorious Artisans.

In particular, at the 80th Anniversary of the Industry's Traditional Day, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism was honored to receive the First Class Labor Medal - a noble award recognizing outstanding achievements in the 2021 - 2025 period and many other forms of commendation from the central to local levels.

The leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism require the entire industry to clearly understand: "The implementation of patriotic emulation movements plays a very important role, forming lasting strength, arousing and strongly awakening the desire to contribute of each organization, each unit, each individual. Accordingly, we need to deeply and thoroughly understand the position and role of patriotic emulation movements."

Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long: "The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has changed its thinking"

Speaking at the 4th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long affirmed that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has changed its mindset from "doing culture" to "state management of culture", institutions, mechanisms and policies on culture, sports and tourism have been supplemented and newly developed, cultural industry has developed, tourism has strongly recovered, and sports have achieved some positive results.

Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long agreed with the directions, tasks and solutions set out by the congress; at the same time, he noted some additional contents, such as continuing to preserve and promote traditional cultural values ​​of the nation, building a healthy cultural life; linking the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" with the "National target program on building new rural areas and civilized urban areas".

Regarding tourism, it is necessary to develop sustainable, creative, professional, civilized tourism to become a spearhead economic sector. "Strongly promote emulation movements, encourage localities and businesses to innovate in each tourism product and service; build a smart tourism ecosystem, develop green tourism products, and enhance Vietnam's position on the world tourism map," Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long directed.

Regarding sports, the Deputy Prime Minister requested to organize emulation movements in high-performance sports, towards professionalization and socialization, focusing on investment in strong sports, gradually improving the position of Vietnamese sports.

As for the press, it is necessary to further promote the role of press and publishing as a sharp tool of the Party and State on the ideological and cultural front, a trusted forum for the people and a bridge to promote Vietnam's image to the world.

"Building a digital media ecosystem, multi-platform electronic publishing, applying new technology to serve people quickly, accurately and modernly," Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long emphasized.
