Speaking at the Congress, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long affirmed that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has played an active role in contributing to the emulation movement and the country's brilliant achievements with many important achievements.

In particular, the Ministry has successfully coordinated the organization of many major events of the country such as: the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, the 50th anniversary of Southern Liberation and National Reunification, the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2.

Praising the efforts and warmly congratulating the achievements of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in recent times, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long affirmed that today's Congress honored 300 typical advanced examples - those who have not only become the pride of the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector but also contributed to making the country famous, a source of encouragement and motivation for all classes of people to continue to enthusiastically compete and make more achievements in the new era of development of the country.

The Deputy Prime Minister pointed out: "In the coming time, the new development context will bring many opportunities, but also pose many challenges. The culture, sports and tourism sector needs to continue to unite and be creative, turning the emulation movement into a driving force for innovation and dedication, linked to the specific tasks of each agency, unit and locality."

The Deputy Prime Minister requested the culture, sports and tourism sector to step up the preservation and promotion of traditional cultural values; build a healthy cultural life, and link the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" with the program of building new rural areas and civilized urban areas.

At the same time, focus on building a draft Resolution of the Politburo on "Revival and development of Vietnamese culture in the new era"; recommend investment in the National Target Program for cultural development; spread initiatives to preserve heritage, create a healthy cultural environment, promote cultural industry, entertainment industry...

Regarding tourism, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the goal of sustainable, creative, civilized, and professional development, becoming a key economic sector. In the field of sports, the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" needs to be promoted, linking physical training with improving stature, health, and quality of human resources. The sports industry needs to continue to socialize and professionalize, focusing on investing in strengths to enhance the position of Vietnamese sports...

Regarding the press and publishing, the Deputy Prime Minister suggested that it is necessary to continue promoting the role of a sharp tool on the ideological and cultural front, building a digital media ecosystem, multi-platform electronic publishing, and applying new technologies, to both serve the people and promote the country's image.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that with the pioneering spirit of opening up, making breakthroughs, and creating space for the development of culture, sports and tourism, the entire culture, sports and tourism sector needs to further promote the good traditions and achievements, contributing to the country's rapid and sustainable development in the new era.

In his speech at the Congress, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung emphasized that in the Call for Patriotic Emulation, President Ho Chi Minh advised: "Emulation is patriotism, patriotism requires emulation, those who emulate are the most patriotic."

That is a command from the heart, a sacred call that urges every cadre, civil servant, public employee and worker in the culture, sports and tourism sector to constantly strive.

The emulation movement in the past term has been associated with the consistent motto: "Decisive action - Aspiration to contribute", achieving many important results in all fields.

In culture, the emulation movement has contributed to preserving and cultivating identity, nurturing the national soul, and at the same time proactively integrating and promoting the image of Vietnam to the world. In sports, the spirit of emulation and training has made the flag famous, raising the position of the Fatherland in the international arena.

Tourism has witnessed innovation, making Vietnam a safe, friendly and attractive destination. The press and media have become "a conduit of knowledge, connecting trust between the Party, the State and the people". Scientific research and human resource training activities continue to create a solid foundation for the comprehensive development of the industry.

With the theme of Solidarity, Creativity, Emulation in Building and Protecting the Fatherland , the Congress takes place in the context of the Party, State and the entire political system synchronously implementing many historic and strategic policies, aiming to bring the country into an era of strong and prosperous development.

This is also an opportunity to commend the achievements of emulation movements and honor collectives and individuals of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism with outstanding achievements. Typical examples, lessons learned in organizing patriotic emulation movements and commendation work, and experiences in building and replicating advanced models were shared at the congress. At the same time, launching patriotic emulation movements in the whole industry, associated with promoting the movement of Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, promoting emulation and commendation work in the new situation.

At the Congress, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long awarded the title of Hero of Labor to coach Mai Duc Chung - a noble award recognizing his outstanding achievements in creative labor, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.

Coach Mai Duc Chung affirmed that this honor will be a motivation for him to continue to strive and contribute to Vietnamese football: "I always remind myself to be more active, do my best to achieve more achievements with the team members, worthy of this title."
