The City's armed forces strictly maintained combat readiness forces and equipment; organized the training launch ceremony and launched the "Lightning Speed ​​- Determined Victory" peak emulation campaign, which was highly appreciated by Military Region 7 and the Ministry of National Defense .

At the conference, delegates discussed and proposed ideas on local military and defense tasks in the coming time, especially after the arrangement of agencies and units according to the new organizational structure of the Ministry of National Defense and according to the new administrative units. Accordingly, the Ho Chi Minh City Command organizes 6 defense area commands and the Border Guard Command under the City Command.

Speaking at the conference, Major General Vu Van Dien, Commander of the Ho Chi Minh City Command, requested agencies and units to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement documents of the Ministry of National Defense, Military Region 7, City Party Committee, and City People's Committee on the organization of two-level local government and the organization of defense zones.

Along with that, organize activities, thoroughly grasp and orient the ideology for all officers and soldiers; build a system of documents; organize a tight handover. At the same time, Major General Vu Van Dien requested the units to continue to improve training for subjects according to regulations, strive to organize a defense area exercise by the end of the year, to ensure the ability to respond flexibly to all situations, contributing to building a strong national defense of the City in the new period.
