Boeing sells its defense subsidiary.

According to Reuters, the company being sold is Digital Receiver Technology, which manufactures wireless equipment for US intelligence agencies and the military. The amount was not disclosed, but the deal comes as Boeing is struggling with financial difficulties. The corporation is facing production delays, safety issues, and a worker strike. The month-long strike at Boeing's West Coast factories has hampered production of the 737 MAX, 767, and 777 aircraft. Workers are expected to vote on a new contract proposal on October 23rd to end the strike.

Boeing has admitted to errors in the manufacturing and maintenance of the MAX aircraft.
