Recognizing that developing Party members is a regular and important task in Party building, the Bac Kan Ward Party Committee has implemented many comprehensive solutions to create a pool of potential and improve the quality of new Party members. In particular, the identification and nurturing of outstanding individuals in schools has received special attention, contributing to the rejuvenation of the Party membership and strengthening the vitality of grassroots Party organizations.
Currently, the Bac Kan Ward Party Committee has 18 grassroots party branches and 53 subordinate party branches with 2,739 party members. In 2026, the Ward Party Committee strives to recruit new party members at a rate of 3.2% or more compared to the total number of existing party members.
From the beginning of the year, the Ward Party Committee directed its subordinate Party branches and committees to proactively review and build a pool of potential Party members, focusing on young people, teachers, and students with outstanding achievements in their studies, work, and extracurricular activities.
By May 19, 2026, the Party Committee of Bac Kan Ward had admitted 29 new Party members, achieving 34.5% of the provincial plan and 34.1% of the target set by the Ward Party Committee's Executive Resolution. Notably, 20 of these members are students, demonstrating the clear effectiveness of recruiting new members from the school environment.
Comrade Leng Hoang Dieu, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Bac Kan Ward, said: Developing Party members in schools is an important solution to rejuvenate the Party membership and improve the quality of grassroots Party organizations. Young Party members recruited from the school environment often have high qualifications, innovative thinking, and a great desire to contribute. The Ward Party Committee always pays attention to directing and assigning specific targets to each unit, and regularly inspects and supervises the implementation.
In the work of recruiting young Party members, Bac Kan Specialized High School is one of the exemplary units. In 2026, the school was assigned a target of admitting 8 new Party members. To date, 7 outstanding students have been admitted to the Party.
To achieve these results, the school focuses on political and ideological education, ethics, and lifestyle, while also creating an environment for students to develop through academic competitions, scientific research, volunteer activities, and youth union work.
