The trailer for Dune: Part Two , directed by Denis Villeneuve, is 2 and a half minutes long and contains many important developments in the second part of the Dune franchise. The trailer opens with the scene of Paul Atreides, played by Timothée Chalamet, sitting with Chani, played by Zendaya, a Fremen warrior on the planet Arrakis, on the sand dunes.
The trailer then cuts to Paul's first attempt at riding a sandworm, a sacred animal of the Fremen, as Chani, Stilgar (played by Javier Bardem), the leader of the tribe, watches; and everyone breaks out in cheers as Paul succeeds, riding a giant sandworm as it glides across the desert.
Paul learns to ride a sand worm
This is one of the important details because in the first part, director Denis Villeneuve left this open, only briefly showing Paul riding a sandworm in the last minutes of the film. This detail connects to a series of previous political events: the Atreides were massacred by the Harkonnens when they received orders from the Emperor to take over Arrakis. After the whole family was scattered, his father was killed, Paul and his mother - Lady Jessica (played by Rebecca Ferguson) had to wander through the giant deserts, then had to try to join the native Fremen.
In addition, one of the other big scenes in the trailer is Paul leading the Fremen. He stands on a high mountain top, shouting a slogan to thousands of people below. Everyone echoes Paul's chants.

The official trailer for Dune: Part Two reveals the looks of some important characters in the second part, namely Lady Jessica, Princess Irulan played by Florence Pugh, Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen played by actor Austin Butler as well as Lady Margot played by Léa Seydoux.
Perhaps, the appearance of these characters will make the second part of the film much more dramatic when Irulan is the daughter of the Emperor - the one behind the plot to massacre the Atreides; Lady Margot is still unclear about what plots she is hiding; and Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, the bloodthirsty one of the Harkonnens, one of the two who will inherit power from Vladimir Harkonnen (played by Stellan Skarsgård), impresses with his bald head and cold eyes.

Dune: Part Two Movie Poster
Filmmaker Denis Villeneuve does not want to see this part 2 as a sequel to the first part, he wants the audience to see Dune 2 as a standalone film. This is an ambitious work of the director born in 1967 when adapting a great science fiction work like Dune by author Frank Herbert.
Part 1 of Dune grossed a total of $402 million in ticket sales, making it one of the most profitable films during the pandemic. The 2021 version of Dune , directed by the 55-year-old director, reimagines Frank Herbert's fantastic world on the big screen. At the 2022 Oscars, the film received 10 Oscar nominations, winning 6 awards. Dune: Part Two is scheduled to be released on November 3 this year.
