Mudryk is currently suspended from competition for doping.

The UK Anti-Doping Agency (UKAD) recently released shocking information. Since 2022, they have discovered 9 players tested positive for banned substances. In 2023 alone, 4 violations were confirmed, of which 2 are currently playing in the Premier League.

Notably, both stars tested positive immediately after the match, but their identities have not been released due to the ongoing investigation. If found guilty, they could face a multi-year ban.

The case of Mykhailo Mudryk has attracted attention. The Ukrainian player was found to have used Meldonium - a substance that speeds up recovery - while playing in his home country. The Chelsea player denied all allegations, but was provisionally suspended and faces the risk of a four-year ban.

Previously, former MU midfielder Paul Pogba was also fired by Juventus and received a 4-year ban after testing positive for DHEA, a substance that increases testosterone levels. His sentence was eventually reduced to 18 months and he is looking for a new destination.

English football is also facing a problem with addiction and mental health, with 530 professional players currently receiving treatment for issues such as drug, alcohol and gambling abuse.

Brentford midfielder Christian Norgaard has warned about the problem, saying he was once scared of becoming addicted to sleeping pills and urging the public not to treat it as a small problem.
