An emotional outburst

At DIFF 2025, the Z121 Vina Pyrotech (Vietnam 2) team presented a spectacular performance titled "Aspiration to Soar," elaborately staged with five chapters, evoking a journey of Da Nang from the past to the present and towards the future. Meanwhile, the Polish team's "Dragon Love" continued to impress, making the audience feel like they were watching a mythological film. The performances of both teams left a wide range of emotions in the audience.

Ms. Nhu Hieu (a Vietnamese expatriate in Singapore) shared that she arranged her work schedule to return to Vietnam and bring her parents from Phu Yen to Da Nang to immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere of DIFF 2025. “I’ve had the chance to see fireworks festivals in many countries, but this time I was truly moved watching the Vietnam 2 team perform. The blend of melody and fireworks technique reached its peak, it was outstanding. The climax was the moment when the sky over Da Nang lit up with the image of the red flag with a yellow star, recreated by fireworks, brilliant and full of pride. When the melody of “As if Uncle Ho were present on the day of great victory” rang out, I saw the entire audience erupt in applause. It was a sacred moment, and rarely has a performance at DIFF 2025 made the audience sing along in unison, sharing in every emotion. I think it’s not just fireworks; it’s culture, it’s national pride.”

Not only in the stands, but thousands of spectators outside also erupted with emotion. Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan (Hai Chau district) said that the Vietnam 2 team surprised the audience with continuously changing colored fireworks displays and was also the first team in the history of the DIFF to use colored smoke fireworks. “The Vietnam 2 team not only showcased fireworks, but also awakened national pride through the art of light,” Mr. Tuan said. Visiting Da Nang for the first time, tourist Kishore Raju (India) expressed his particular impression of the fireworks festival. According to Mr. Kishore Raju, each team had its strengths; while the Vietnamese team brought a heroic feeling, the Polish team was gentle yet profound, providing a pleasant feeling for viewers. The Polish team blended epic symphonies like Prophecy and The Power of Love, as well as love songs like Dark Side Story and Epilogue, with unique fireworks effects. Spiral fireworks displays, high-altitude fireworks, and cool color effects of blue, silver, and purple transport the audience into a mythical world where love and desire reside.

Ensuring security, public order, and traffic safety.
Throughout the two nights of the competition, security, public order, and traffic safety were ensured, creating favorable conditions for residents and tourists to participate in the festival. The city's police force, in coordination with relevant units, effectively maintained order around the viewing stands; coordinated traffic on roads and bridges, preventing traffic congestion, accidents, fires, and minimizing robberies and pickpockets. The Military Command coordinated the deployment of checkpoints, security, and patrol teams; and operated the Emergency Response Command Center at the DIFF 2025 firing range. The city's Border Guard ensured absolute security and safety on the water, minimizing the number of fishing vessels and unqualified vessels carrying people to watch the fireworks on the Han River; and promptly prevented, guided, and reminded some fishing boats carrying people to watch the fireworks in violation of regulations.
Hai Chau and Son Tra districts regularly patrol and handle matters related to maintaining urban order and aesthetics, dealing with street vendors and touting; promptly reminding some cases of selling balloons, soft drinks, and renting seating areas for fireworks viewing that are not in accordance with regulations. In addition, they inspect food safety and hygiene during DIFF 2025, ensure price listing is in accordance with regulations, and promote civilized commercial practices.

The music was great, it matched the fireworks perfectly.

Commenting on the second night of DIFF 2025, musician Nguyen Duc Trinh, President of the Vietnam Musicians Association and a member of the DIFF 2025 judging panel, said that the Polish team, previously honored as the "Most Creative Fireworks Team" at DIFF 2023, maintained their strong performance in fireworks competitions, consistently choosing excellent music that perfectly complemented their fireworks. The Vietnamese team, participating for the first time, made a strong impression on the audience with their wide range of emotions; this can be considered a very good and highly-rated performance.

Beyond the impressive performances of the two competing teams, DIFF 2025 left a lasting impression on every resident and visitor, showcasing the image of Da Nang as a beautiful, developing city striving to become a destination for international events and festivals. For the Russian couple Aleksandr and Julia, they chose Da Nang for their extended vacation because it's an increasingly attractive destination with beautiful beaches and friendly, hospitable people. “We combined a vacation with watching the fireworks in Da Nang. It was a pleasant surprise because Da Nang organized such a fantastic fireworks festival. Even more wonderful was the romantic marriage proposal I received from my boyfriend amidst the dazzling fireworks display. Da Nang will be a wonderful milestone in my life,” Julia happily stated.

For Mr. Le Huu Chinh (a tourist from Hanoi), DIFF is not just about fireworks, but also about spectacular art programs and fascinating technology. Mr. Chinh said he had seen drone displays in the sky before, but this was the first time he had used AR (augmented reality) technology outdoors via the Sun Paradise Land app. Through this technology, he saw Da Nang's culture against the night sky, including the statue of the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara at Son Tra, the Golden Bridge, the Dragon Bridge, and the Thuan Phuoc Bridge… This was also a memorable experience for him during his visit to Da Nang, and he hopes the city will organize many more large and unique festivals in the future.

A breath of fresh air in the art scene by the Han River.
Elevating the artistic experience, the second night of DIFF 2025 presented a vibrant and youthful "grand music festival." Featuring promising young talents who are gradually making their mark on the Vietnamese music market, such as Tang Duy Tan, violinist Trinh Minh Hien, and hundreds of domestic and international artists, the lively, youthful, and trendy songs created an attractive artistic feast on the banks of the Han River. The innovation in artist selection, song list, and stage choreography of DIFF 2025 brought a fresh and impressive atmosphere. Meritorious Artist Quang Hao, Director of the Trung Vuong Theater and artistic director of DIFF 2025, said that with the scale of this year's festival, the theater brings about 100 artists to perform on stage, with around 200 backstage staff each night, and each stage featuring 2-3 famous stars, ensuring that every performance leaves an unforgettable impression on the audience.
