BYD, China's largest electric vehicle manufacturer, has just launched the Haohan energy storage system with a capacity of 14.5 MWh, causing a global sensation. The new generation Blade battery technology enables the system to withstand over 10,000 charge-discharge cycles, providing a 20-year operating lifespan.
A 20-foot container can store up to 10 MWh, which is 51% higher than the industry average.
Storage costs of just $0.014/kWh, a record low, promise to reduce the cost of renewable energy projects.
Haohan outperforms Tesla Megapack 3 (3.9 MWh) and CATL Tener Stack (9 MWh). This strategy shows that BYD not only wants to lead in electric vehicles but also dominate in green energy. However, the product still faces barriers related to investment capital, technical standards, and global regulations.
If proven durable, BYD could set a new benchmark for the energy storage industry. Readers are invited to watch the video : TCL introduces a self-cleaning air conditioner packed with technology for under 10 million VND.
