Grace Larson built "Kindness Shed" on Highland Road in Taunton, Massachusetts, with the simple desire to spread joy throughout her neighborhood. Earlier this year, she expanded the model by adding a Little Free Library, so that kindness wouldn't be limited to just flowers.

Grace Larson arranges fresh flowers daily, setting them out for people to freely choose and take home.
"We have books for both adults and children. Inside, there are even stuffed animals for the little ones, as companions while reading. There are also bookmarks and a guestbook for signing," Larson said.
The idea started in the backyard garden, where Larson planted flowers herself every day. She recalled, "It was just a messy, makeshift garden at first. My husband thought it was silly and said nobody would want my flowers." "Then things developed beyond expectations," she said.

A "tiny free library" with books, stuffed animals, and scrapbooks - a small corner to nurture reading habits and connect with the community.
According to Larson, her husband loves this "warehouse" just as much as she does. Currently, Larson receives donations to keep it running: she uses the money to buy fresh flowers every day, arranges them in glass vases, and places them in the "warehouse" so that anyone passing by can take a vase of flowers for themselves.
"The flowers are free, but the donations allow me to buy more flowers each day," Larson added.
This initiative quickly gained popularity in the community. Some people brought flower arrangements from the "warehouse" into the hospital, giving them to nurses and patients as a quiet gesture of encouragement. Those who wish to contribute to maintaining the "Kindness Warehouse" can leave a donation in the yellow donation box or scan the QR code on the board above the "warehouse".

Everyone who visits can contribute to maintaining the "Kind Warehouse" model.
"Everyone needs kindness. Even a simple vase of flowers can brighten someone's day. And that makes me happy," Larson shared.
Grace Larson's message is simple: "Be kind, because you never know what others are going through."
