Ca Mau now has electric vehicles for tourists for the first time.

On the morning of September 3rd, many residents of Ca Mau city were excited to see long lines of green electric vehicles carrying passengers on several routes in the city center.

This is the first electric tourist vehicle service to be implemented in Ca Mau city, adding an experience to retain tourists, extend their stay, and develop the local night-time economy .

Electric tourist vehicles transport visitors around the inner city area of ​​Ca Mau.

Mr. Tran Van Huu (residing in Thoi Binh district, Ca Mau province) shared: "I find riding electric vehicles to admire the city scenery very enjoyable, environmentally friendly, and helps reduce traffic congestion."

According to the Ca Mau Provincial Department of Transport, electric tourist vehicles contribute to environmental protection, as they do not produce smoke, dust, or noise.

These electric vehicles serve tourists on routes within Ca Mau city, passing through typical tourist attractions, landmarks, historical sites, and unique local tourism products.

According to Mr. Tang Vu Em, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau City, the tourism industry has been recovering and developing strongly in recent years.

The province also regularly organizes events to promote Ca Mau as a tourist destination every year, attracting a large number of tourists from both within and outside the province. On average, the city receives 1.6 million tourists per year.

"I hope that, in addition to safely transporting passengers, the electric vehicle operators will also be friendly and hospitable tour guides," Mr. Em said.

According to the electric vehicle tourism service project approved by Ca Mau province, phase 1 of the electric tourist vehicle program in Ca Mau city includes 15 vehicles, with an investment of 15 billion VND, funded through social mobilization.
