On the afternoon of September 19, in Ho Chi Minh City, Kim Phuong Media VN Production & Communication Company Limited in collaboration with singer Hong Quyen held a press conference to announce the musical "Mong phu hoa", scheduled to be performed on October 26 at Ben Thanh Theater.

This is an art project that marks the creative journey full of perseverance and aspiration of singer Hong Quyen during more than 10 years of working in the profession.

Hong Quyen - Artist's mark from a long journey

Exactly a decade ago, singer Hong Quyen left a mark in the hearts of the audience with her first live show "Tu tinh Co gai Bac Lieu " at the 126 music stage. That was an important turning point that brought her name closer to the public.

In 2023, the second live show will be released but only to be recorded and released on digital platforms. And up to this point, singer Hong Quyen believes that it is the right time for her to invest in the musical "Mong phu hoa".

"I decided to put all my heart into the third live show, which is staged in the form of a musical, combining drama, music, and reformed art.

This is a project that I have cherished for nearly two years. I put my heart into every detail of the script, every lyric, every performance to create a work that is both genuine and touches the audience's emotions" - Hong Quyen shared.

Hong Quyen tells stories about life and career in showbiz

The musical "Mong Phu Hoa" revolves around the journey of a poor girl in the countryside whose talent is discovered by a show producer and brought to the spotlight. However, fame, scandal, glamour and the fierce events of showbiz have challenged her, dragging her into a cruel vortex.

The play promises to bring many emotions when reflecting the reality of artists' lives and raising questions about values, courage and commitment in art. Director - screenwriter Ngo Quoc Khanh, who was entrusted with the script by singer Hong Quyen, said: "I see in singer Hong Quyen a strong potential for artistic development, not only in her singing voice but also in her acting ability and commitment to her character. She wants to tell a true story about the life of an artist, and together our team has created a work that is both dramatic and rich in human values."

Hong Quyen invited a strong crew

Participating in this musical are many artists who are close colleagues of singer Hong Quyen, they accompany her to bring a true musical night. Behind the project is an experienced artistic team such as: musician Son Ha, musician Cao Minh Thu, art designer Tran Hong Van, visual director Luu Huynh Lam, media manager journalist - musician Hong Son, along with the contribution of many technical artists such as Meritorious Artist Anh Kiet (sound), Thanh Trung (light), Ngan Ally (choreographer), Quoc Bao (LED screen technician) and art director Nguyen Thi Kim Phuong.

In particular, "Mong Phu Hoa" brings together a cast of famous artists: Meritorious Artist Kim Tu Long, People's Artist Trong Phuc, singer - actor Thanh Thuc, singer Khuu Huy Vu, singer Xuan Hoa, singer Hien Trang, along with artists Thanh Ngoc, Dung Nhi, Le Nam, Bgirl group and MC Song Khanh.

At the press conference, many colleagues expressed their expectations and encouragement for Hong Quyen.

People's Artist Trong Phuc shared: "I feel Hong Quyen's seriousness and constant efforts. When a singer decides to step into the musical stage, it is a big challenge. But looking at her meticulous preparation and desire, I believe "Mong Phu Hoa" will touch the hearts of the audience."
