Singer Phung Khanh Linh talks about her healing journey

(Dan Tri) - Singer Phung Khanh Linh attracted attention when releasing the MV "I hurt". The song is the singer's inner dialogue with pain and the process of realizing and accepting the underlying causes of the hurt.

Em dau was composed by Phung Khanh Linh in June 2023. This is the second song from Phung Khanh Linh's third studio album , Among Ten Thousand People , scheduled to be released this summer.

"Pain doesn't always come from the people around us. Sometimes, in the storm of emotions, we look for someone to blame, to blame for the hurt we suffer. It's a choice not to face ourselves, not to acknowledge the dark parts of our souls.

We can stand up, we can learn to let go and find peace in the midst of the storm. But to do that, we must first admit that sometimes the pain is the result of things we have created for ourselves," the singer shared.

Em dau is a fusion of dream pop and indie rock, interwoven with contemporary pop sounds. The MV was created by the female singer as a fantasy-style funeral, depicting the emotional transformation of a girl.

Throughout the MV is a series of emotions of the girl, from peace to pain, brokenness and gradually being healed, freed and relieved, when she can truly let go of the sad emotions and send the lost soul to a far away place.

In the MV, Phung Khanh Linh appears with platinum hair, bringing a mysterious, alluring and charming beauty. The female singer said that the MV also has another metaphorical meaning about saying goodbye to suffering and releasing negative emotions.

After releasing the MV, Phung Khanh Linh plans to launch a test tour through many provinces and cities to promote the new song and meet audiences in many places.
