(Dan Tri Newspaper) - Singer Phung Khanh Linh has attracted attention with the release of her music video "Em Dau" (I'm Hurt). The song is an internal dialogue between the female singer and her pain, along with the process of understanding and accepting the underlying causes of her hurt.

"Em đau" (I'm Hurt) was composed by Phùng Khánh Linh in June 2023. This is the second song from Phùng Khánh Linh's third studio album, titled "Giữa một vạn người" (Amidst Ten Thousand People) , which is scheduled for release this summer.

"Pain doesn't always come from those around us. Sometimes, in the midst of emotional turmoil, we seek someone to blame, to hold accountable for the hurt we've suffered. That's a choice not to confront ourselves, not to acknowledge the dark parts of our souls."

"We can get back on our feet, we can learn to let go and find peace even in the midst of the storm. But to do that, first, we must acknowledge that sometimes pain is the result of things we have done to ourselves," the singer shared.

The music video for "Em Đau" (I'm Hurt) blends dream pop and indie rock, interwoven with contemporary pop sounds. The singer constructed the video as a futuristic funeral scene, aiming to depict the emotional transformation of a young woman.

Throughout the music video, the girl experiences a range of emotions, from peace to sorrow, heartbreak, and gradually healing, liberation, and relief, as she is finally able to let go of her grief and send the lost soul to a distant place.

In the music video, Phùng Khánh Linh appears with platinum blonde hair, exuding a mesmerizing, mysterious, and captivating beauty. The singer stated that the music video also carries another metaphorical meaning: saying goodbye to suffering and freeing oneself from negative emotions.

After releasing the music video, Phùng Khánh Linh plans to launch a trial tour across many provinces and cities to promote her new song and meet audiences in various locations.
