In Lam Dong province, over 4,840 hectares of rice land will be converted to other crops in 2025. This includes nearly 4,132 hectares for the winter-spring crop, nearly 504 hectares for the summer-autumn crop, and over 204.5 hectares for the main crop season.

In six communes alone, 178 hectares of rice-growing land have been converted to annual crops. Notably, in Duc Linh and Ham Thuan Bac communes, sweet potato cultivation yields the highest income at 80-100 million VND/ha/year; followed by watermelon at 70-80 million VND/ha/year; and peanuts and corn at 57-60 million VND/ha/year, and various vegetables at 30-50 million VND/ha/year.

To date, the entire province has a total rice cultivation area of ​​over 167,158 hectares, with a production of 739,640 tons, an average yield of 5.5 - 7.2 tons/ha, and an average income of 20 million VND/year per hectare of rice land.
