The Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management (Ministry of Health) has just sent an official dispatch to the Departments of Health of the provinces: Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh , Hung Yen, Hanoi and the provinces and cities affected by storm No. 3, requesting to quickly overcome the impacts and consequences of the storm and promptly deploy medical examination and treatment.
According to a quick report and initial statistics, a number of medical examination and treatment facilities have suffered varying degrees of damage as a result of storm No. 3. However, the work of receiving emergency aid and treating patients has been maintained, especially some cases of serious trauma have been given timely emergency aid.
The Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management acknowledges and highly appreciates the Departments of Health and hospitals for seriously implementing the direction of the Prime Minister and the leaders of the Ministry of Health in flood and storm prevention.
To quickly overcome and minimize damage and soon resume normal operations of hospitals, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management recommends that hospitals, in case of emergency patients with severe trauma, beyond their professional capacity, need to organize a professional consultation or promptly transfer to another hospital.
Hospitals are proactive and continue to follow specific instructions from the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management on emergency and medical examination and treatment. If units encounter difficulties, they need to report to competent authorities and the Ministry of Health (Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management) to synthesize and report to the Ministry's leaders for timely support and assistance.
