SOME PLACES HAVE ALREADY FINISHED THE GRADES.

To date, some localities with a relatively small number of candidates have completed grading the 2024 high school graduation exams and sent the data to the Ministry of Education and Training for comparison. During the independent two-round grading process, in parallel with the grading by the grading teams, the grading committee also has a verification team; this team checks at least 5% of the essay papers that have been graded in the first or second round according to the schedule to re-verify the grading quality among the examiners. "At the end of each grading session or when deemed necessary, the head of the verification team compiles and reports the results of the verification grading and makes recommendations to the head of the essay grading committee to apply appropriate measures to ensure that the grading is fair, objective, and serious," Mr. Chuong noted.

After the exam results are announced, the Departments of Education and Training compare the average scores of the individual subjects and exams with the average scores of the corresponding subjects in the 12th grade.

Similarly, according to Mr. Chuong, the current multiple-choice test grading process is clearly defined in each stage and step, with strict supervision from inspectors. All multiple-choice answer sheets (students' work) must be graded by machine using the same specialized software provided by the Ministry of Education and Training.

"In the grading process, every step is important, so examiners must strictly adhere to the regulations and procedures for grading multiple-choice tests; absolutely no improvisation is allowed. If any issues arise, they must immediately report them to the national steering committee for consideration and handling according to regulations," Mr. Chuong emphasized.

According to Mr. Chuong, up to this point, the grading process in localities is still proceeding according to regulations, and there have been no special situations that the national steering committee has had to deal with.
