With only about 50 days left to complete the projects, contractors have launched a "fast-track" construction campaign to meet the deadline.
Present at the construction site of the Khuất Xá Commune Primary and Secondary Boarding School on June 20, 2026, we witnessed hundreds of workers, divided into many teams, busily working with a sense of urgency.
Mr. Lang Xuan Thuy, the project manager of Nga Phong One-Member Limited Company, stated: Currently, the contractor maintains 360 construction workers on the site, divided into several teams for construction and paving. The company has developed a detailed production plan for each team to achieve daily targets, and team leaders must report to the management board at the end of each day using a schedule developed by the company.
By the end of June 2026, the value of work completed at the four primary and secondary boarding school projects (Phase 1) in the communes of Kien Moc, Khuat Xa, Mau Son, and Quoc Khanh had reached 60 to 70% of the contract value. |
Mr. Do Kien Tien, Team Leader of the construction team for the administrative building, wastewater treatment tank, and restrooms, said: “Currently, the team has 27 workers, divided into 4 groups, each with 6 to 7 people, focusing on completing the construction of the administrative building, assembling formwork to prepare for pouring concrete for the wastewater treatment tank walls, installing steel for heat insulation, and lifting materials. At the end of each day, each construction group must report the results of the assigned tasks to the team leader so that the team leader can compile and report to the management board.”
As of the end of June, at the Khuất Xá Commune Primary and Secondary School boarding school project, all building blocks are entering the final stages of completion. The total value of completed work for the entire project as of the end of June is estimated at 65% of the contract value.
Meanwhile, at the construction site of the Quoc Khanh Commune Primary and Secondary Boarding School, the contractor is simultaneously working on various items, from completing the building blocks to constructing auxiliary technical infrastructure at the project.
Mr. Tran Tan Tuan, the construction contractor commander of the joint venture between Construction Corporation No. 8 - JSC and Vietnam Construction and Installation Corporation (abbreviated as Cienco8 – ECV), stated that the joint venture is focusing all its efforts on completing the project. As of June 22, 2026, the unit maintains 430 workers working two shifts on the construction site (an increase of approximately 180 people compared to the end of April 2026). Simultaneously, the joint venture has also gathered sufficient materials such as doors, roofing sheets, electrical and water equipment, sand, stone, etc., to construct many items with the goal of essentially completing the entire project by July 31, 2026. According to the unit's report, the project has currently completed approximately 70% of the construction value as per the contract.
Similarly, at the boarding school project for primary and secondary levels in Mau Son and Kien Moc communes, construction units are also working diligently every day to complete the items according to plan. The number of workers serving to complete the items has increased from 70 to 130 people compared to the end of April 2026.
Lieutenant Colonel Ngo Minh Toan, Commander of the construction contractor, Investment and Construction Engineering Joint Stock Company 29 ( thuộc General Corporation 319, Ministry of National Defense ), said: To meet the progress requirements, the company has developed many scenarios and simultaneously changed the construction plan on the site. Accordingly, the contractor not only closely monitors the construction progress and deploys more personnel for each task but also organizes overtime work in the evenings for 3 to 3.5 hours to meet the progress requirements set by the investor.
According to updated figures, as of the end of June 2026, the value of work completed at the four primary and secondary boarding school projects (Phase 1) in the communes of Kien Moc, Khuat Xa, Mau Son, and Quoc Khanh has reached 60 to 70% of the contract value.
With the current momentum and determination of the contractors, we are confident that the construction of the four multi-level schools in phase 1 will be completed on schedule. In just a short time, the children of ethnic minorities in Khuất Xá, Kiên Mộc, Mẫu Sơn, and Quốc Khánh communes will be able to study in spacious, sturdy, and modern schools.
