On the morning of November 20th, the Electronics and Semiconductor Center (ESC), in collaboration with Cadence Company, launched a training course on "Analog Design - Custom IC Training" for university lecturers on using Cadence's tools and solutions in analog IC design.

This activity implements the contents of the cooperation agreement signed between the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park (SHTP) and Cadence - one of the world's leading companies providing comprehensive tools and solutions related to automation design in the field of electronics and semiconductor integrated circuits, aiming to promote the development of human resources for the semiconductor integrated circuit design field (signed in May 2023). The ESC was launched on September 6, 2023, based on a pilot cooperation between the SHTP Training Center and Sun Edu International Education Joint Stock Company, which is the unit assigned to implement the signed cooperation contents.

The "Analog Design - Custom IC Training" course took place over 3 weeks (from November 20th to December 8th, 2023) at ESC, taught directly by Cadence experts. The participants were 30 lecturers from universities and training institutions nationwide.
Throughout the program, instructors are required to attend full-time according to the course schedule, receive guidance and practical support from experienced professionals, and practice directly on computers using Cadence's integrated circuit design software tools and solutions.
According to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Anh Thi, Head of the SHTP Management Board, this training course is extremely timely, contributing to improving the training capacity of schools, serving the goal of expanding and opening new majors in semiconductor integrated circuits, especially in the field of analog integrated circuit design, which has not yet met the huge demand for human resources in the present and future.

A key feature of the program is that instructors gain access to Cadence's entire library and teaching materials. Upon completion of the program, instructors can develop practical integrated circuit design curricula to teach to students at their respective institutions.
