A closer look at the Lexus LX 700h - the "land-based private jet" starting from 5.42 billion VND.

In the Indonesian market, the 2025 Lexus LX 700h luxury SUV will be available in two versions, with prices ranging from 3,392 to 3,928 million Rupiah (approximately 5.42 to 6.28 billion VND).

The luxury car brand Lexus continues to bring its most luxurious product line to the Indonesian market. This time, the new 2025 Lexus LX 700h was officially launched at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025 on July 23, 2025.

“Today is a very important milestone for Lexus as all of our models now have electrification options,” said Henry Tanoto, Vice President of PT Toyota-Astra Motor, at GIIAS 2025. “We are introducing the LX 700h as Lexus’s most powerful SUV to date, perfectly combining comfort and true off-road capability.”

Previously, Lexus Indonesia distributed the LX 600 as its flagship SUV. Now, this model has been replaced by the new Lexus LX 700h. In the Indonesian market, this luxury SUV, dubbed the "land-based private jet," comes in two versions: a 7-seater and a 4-seater VIP version, with prices ranging from 3,392 to 3,928 million Rupiah (approximately 5.42 to 6.28 billion VND).

In terms of appearance, the car features a large spindle-shaped grille with horizontal slats, giving the front end a commanding presence. Alongside this are sharp, zigzag-shaped LED daytime running lights. Further details include 22-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights with a connected design, a roof spoiler, and silver trim on the rear bumper.

Inside, the Lexus LX 700h offers 7-seater and 4-seater configurations, depending on the version. The 4-seater VIP version features a second row of seats that recline up to 41 degrees and includes a massage function. Additionally, it has rear entertainment screens and individually adjustable climate control for each seat.

Meanwhile, the seven-seater version features a third row of seats that can be folded 50/50. Other amenities for passengers include wireless charging, heated/cooled seats, an improved 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, and a large central touchscreen. Below the infotainment screen are still physical buttons for adjusting frequently used features.

First launched globally in October 2024, the Lexus LX 700h uses a 3.4L turbocharged V6 gasoline engine, producing a maximum power of 457 horsepower and a maximum torque of 650 Nm. This engine is combined with an electric motor providing an additional 250 Nm of torque. In total, the vehicle boasts 463 horsepower and a maximum torque of 790 Nm.

With this engine, the LX 700h can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds. In addition, it uses a 10-speed automatic transmission, combined with all-wheel drive (AWD), ensuring superior performance in various terrains. Located beneath the luggage compartment is the hybrid battery pack and a 12V battery. This battery pack is housed in a waterproof tray with a water level sensor, allowing the vehicle to ford water up to 700 mm deep.

In addition, Lexus offers six off-road driving modes called Multi-Terrain Select: Mud, Sand, Deep Snow, Rock, and Dirt. Crawl Control helps maintain low speed on challenging terrain, and Turn Assist reduces the turning radius by braking the inner rear wheel when cornering.

The electronic power steering system can also adjust the steering wheel's sensitivity according to the vehicle's speed. The car is also equipped with an Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) system that adjusts ride comfort and adapts to road conditions, providing a smoother and more precise driving experience.

Finally, there's the Lexus Safety Sense+ 3.0 active safety package and active traction control system. The Lexus Safety Sense+ 3.0 package includes more features such as Proactive Driving Assist, pre-collision warning, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and abnormal driver reaction monitoring.
