Luxury car brand Lexus continues to bring its most luxurious product line to the Indonesian market. This time, the new Lexus LX 700h 2025 model was officially launched at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025 on July 23, 2025. “Today is a very important milestone for Lexus as our entire model range now has an electrified option,” said Henry Tanoto, Vice President of PT Toyota-Astra Motor, at GIIAS 2025. “We are introducing the LX 700h as Lexus’ most powerful SUV yet, perfectly combining comfort and true off-road capability.”
Previously, Lexus Indonesia distributed the LX 600 as its flagship SUV. Now, this model has been replaced by the new Lexus LX 700h. In the Indonesian market, this luxury SUV, dubbed the "ground plane", has 2 versions: 7-seat and 4-seat VIP with prices ranging from 3.392 - 3.928 million Rupiah (about 5.42 - 6.28 billion VND). In terms of appearance, the car is equipped with a large spindle grille with horizontal bars, creating a sense of grandeur for the front area. Next to it is a sharp zigzag LED daytime running light strip. Next is a set of 22-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights with a design connecting both sides, a spoiler and silver trim on the rear bumper. Inside the car, the Lexus LX 700h is equipped with a 7-seat and 4-seat interior, depending on the version. In particular, the 4-seat VIP version is equipped with a second row of seats that can recline up to 41 degrees and has an integrated massage function. In addition, the car also has a rear entertainment screen and an air conditioning system that can be adjusted individually for each seat.
Meanwhile, the 7-seat version is equipped with a 50/50 split-folding third row of seats. Other amenities for passengers include wireless charging, heated/cooled seats, an improved 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, and a large central touchscreen. Below the infotainment screen, there are still mechanical buttons to adjust commonly used features. First launched in the global market in October 2024, the Lexus LX 700h uses a 3.4L turbocharged V6 gasoline engine, producing a maximum capacity of 457 horsepower and a maximum torque of 650 Nm. The engine combined with an electric motor provides an additional torque of 250 Nm. In total, the car has a capacity of 463 horsepower and a maximum torque of 790 Nm. With this engine, the LX 700h can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds. In addition, the car also uses a 10-speed automatic transmission, combined with a full-time 4-wheel drive system AWD, ensuring superior performance on many terrain conditions. Located under the luggage compartment is a hybrid battery pack and a 12V battery. This battery pack is placed inside a waterproof tray with a water level sensor, allowing the car to wade through water 700 mm deep. In addition, there are 6 terrain driving modes that Lexus calls Multi-Terrain Select, including: Mud, Sand, Deep Snow, Rock and Dirt. Crawl Control helps maintain low speed when driving on difficult terrain and Turn Assist allows to reduce the turning radius by braking the inside rear wheel when cornering.
The electronic power steering system can also adjust the steering sensitivity depending on the speed of travel. The car is also equipped with Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) to adjust the smoothness and adapt to road conditions, providing a smoother and more precise driving feel. Finally, there is the Lexus Safety Sense+ 3.0 active safety package and active traction control system. The Lexus Safety Sense+ 3.0 package has more features such as Proactive Driving Assist, pre-collision warning, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and driver abnormal reaction monitoring.
