Following the merger, Dong Nai province has greater potential for development with the addition of numerous industrial parks, clusters, and the development of trade, services, and high-tech agriculture … All of these require a high-quality workforce.

Universities, colleges, and vocational training institutions in the province see this as an opportunity to define their role, expand their scale, update their fields of study, and participate more deeply in training high-quality, digitally-skilled human resources for the province and the entire country. To achieve this, the leaders of universities, colleges, and vocational training institutions in the province have decided to closely cooperate with each other to share resources (facilities, lecturers, learning modules, digital libraries, etc.) to effectively serve the training process. These institutions have proposed this to the provincial leadership to establish a systematic and effective operational mechanism.

In the dynamic context of the digital age, collaboration between schools and businesses is essential. This is also a strength of universities and colleges in Dong Nai, located in areas with many industrial zones and large enterprises, especially FDI companies. Beyond sending students to businesses for internships and organizing job fairs to find employment after graduation, universities and colleges also collaborate with businesses in training by inviting businesses to participate in curriculum development, sending experts to teach certain modules, and coordinating research, innovation, and technology transfer to serve production.

In fact, some universities regularly conduct research and transfer technology to businesses, especially in the fields of mechanical engineering, automation, and information technology. What's particularly noteworthy is that the workforce involved in this research and technology transfer includes students. This process helps students not only excel in theory but also refine their professional skills and cultivate corporate culture. This, in turn, enables them to meet practical demands after graduation and provides them with job opportunities at a decent income.

To train high-quality human resources in the context of Dong Nai's development into a global city, international cooperation is a crucial requirement that universities and colleges need to focus on and invest in. Dong Nai also needs to prioritize vocational training for rural workers and ethnic minority workers, linking it with high-tech agriculture; building and implementing training models in a chain, connecting with startup centers, innovation centers, and large domestic and international enterprises and corporations.
