Accordingly, the Conference announced the decisions of the Can Tho City Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on the establishment of advisory agencies to assist the Can Tho City Party Committee, including: Can Tho City Party Committee Office, Can Tho City Party Committee Organization Board, Can Tho City Party Committee Inspection Committee, Can Tho City Party Committee Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Board, Can Tho City Party Committee Internal Affairs Board; the decision to establish the City Political School, Can Tho Newspaper, Radio and Television Agency, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city.
The Standing Committee of the City Party Committee assigned and appointed leaders and managers of the above agencies, including: Mr. Nguyen Du as Chief of the City Party Committee Office; Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhon as Head of the City Party Committee's Organization Committee; Mr. Vo Chi Cong as Head of the City Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee; Mr. Le Tan Thu as Head of the City Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee; Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Loan was appointed Principal of the City Political School; Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tam as Editor-in-Chief of Can Tho Newspaper and Radio and Television.
The Conference also announced the Resolution of the People's Council of Can Tho City on the establishment of 14 specialized agencies of the People's Committee of Can Tho City; the decision of the Chairman of the People's Committee on the appointment of 12 Department Directors, and the assignment of the Department's management to 2 deputy directors.
Specifically:
1. Mr. Nguyen Quoc Trung (former Chief of Office of Soc Trang Provincial Party Committee) holds the position of Chief of Office of the City People's Committee.
2. Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Thuy (former Chief Inspector of Can Tho City) holds the position of Chief Inspector of the city.
3. Mr. Lam Hoang Mau (former Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Soc Trang province) holds the position of Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions.
4. Mr. Tran Thanh Liem, former Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Hau Giang province, was assigned to be in charge of and operate the Department of Home Affairs until the position of Director was completed.
5. Ms. Ho Thi Thanh Bach, former Acting Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Can Tho City (old), was assigned to be in charge of and operate the Department of Foreign Affairs until the position of Director was completed.
6. Mr. Ha Vu Son (former Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Can Tho City) holds the position of Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Can Tho City.
7. Mr. Nguyen Van Quan (former Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Hau Giang province) holds the position of Director of the Department of Justice.
8. Mr. Ngo Thai Chan (former Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Soc Trang province) holds the position of Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment.
9. Mr. Ngo Anh Tin (former Director of the Department of Science and Technology of the old Can Tho city) holds the position of Director of the Department of Science and Technology.
10. Mr. Nguyen Van Bay (former Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hau Giang province) holds the position of Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
11. Mr. Mai Van Tan (former Director of the Department of Construction of Hau Giang province) holds the position of Director of the Department of Construction.
12. Mr. Duong Van Ngoanh, former Director of the Department of Finance of Soc Trang province, was assigned to be in charge of and operate the Department of Finance until the position of Director was completed.
13. Mr. Hoang Quoc Cuong (former Director of the Department of Health of Can Tho city) holds the position of Director of the Department of Health.
14. Ms. Tran Thi Huyen, former Director of the Department of Education and Training of Hau Giang province, was assigned to be in charge of and operate the Department of Education and Training until the position of Director was completed.

Officials must be able to undertake the task of "reorganizing the country"
Speaking at the Conference, Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee Do Thanh Binh emphasized: To realize the aspiration of building a strong, prosperous and happy country; at the same time, concretize the vision of developing Can Tho city into a dynamic center of the Mekong Delta region, the process of building and developing the city in the coming time requires the joint efforts and consensus of the entire political system and the people of the city. In particular, it requires determination in leadership and direction, dedication and responsibility in the implementation of tasks of cadres and party members at all levels.
Therefore, the work of organizing cadres continues to be a key step, requiring special attention. The city must build and select a team of cadres who can undertake the task of "reorganizing the country", must be truly exemplary in political qualities, ethics, capacity, and courage; dare to innovate, dare to act, dare to take responsibility for the common good; take practical effectiveness, service spirit, public ethics and prestige among the people as the most important criteria in selecting and using cadres.
In order to successfully complete the tasks according to the assigned functions and tasks of each agency and unit and contribute to building Can Tho City into a center of knowledge economy - innovation - logistics - education - health and finance of the whole region, Secretary of Can Tho City Party Committee Do Thanh Binh requested that the appointed comrades continue to closely follow the instructions of their superiors, strengthen the promotion of information, propaganda and dissemination work in the industry, fields and widely among the people, especially the instructions of General Secretary To Lam at the meeting with 3 localities on June 4, 2025 and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man at the announcement ceremony on June 30, 2025.
At the same time, agencies are proactive in coordination to create synchronization and connectivity in directing, operating, and implementing tasks, especially in the early stages after the merger, to avoid overlapping, pushing, and stagnation. Strictly implement administrative discipline and order; innovate leadership, direction, and operation styles towards being close to the people, close to work, and for the benefit of the people. Strongly apply digital transformation in management, operation, processing, and solving work. Review the current status of headquarters, working conditions, and organize and scientifically arrange workplaces for cadres, civil servants, and public employees.
"Each comrade assigned a new responsibility needs to clearly demonstrate his/her role and responsibility, set an example, uphold the Party's organizational principles, build a close, decisive, and effective leadership style; dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility for the common interest; always maintain his/her mettle, strongly promote collective intelligence, and always keep in mind the motto "close to the people - respect the people - act for the people, put the interests of the Fatherland and the people first and foremost" in all decisions and directions in assigned units, sectors, and fields," the Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee requested.
