Can Tho assigns tasks to the Chairman and 5 Vice Chairmen of the city

(Dan Tri) - On October 29, Can Tho City People's Committee issued a decision assigning tasks to the Chairman and 5 Vice Chairmen of the City People's Committee.

Specifically, Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Truong Canh Tuyen leads and comprehensively manages all activities within the functions, tasks and powers of the City People's Committee.

Mr. Tuyen monitors and directs: Department of Home Affairs, City Military Command, City Police, City Inspectorate, City Statistics.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City directly directs and manages the following areas: Working regulations of the City People's Committee; planning, 5-year and annual socio -economic development plans; medium-term and annual public investment plans; 5-year financial plans, 3-year state budget financial plans, state budget estimates and annual local budget allocation plans; regional coordination and linkage activities; international cooperation programs and domestic provinces and cities on socio-economic issues.

Along with that, the City Chairman is in charge of administrative reform; inspection; statistics; prevention and control of corruption, negativity, and waste; citizen reception; national defense and security; diplomacy; and general direction of the implementation of the Central Resolution on the construction and development of Can Tho City.

Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Truong Canh Tuyen also gave general direction and orientation to the implementation, urged Vice Chairmen (according to their areas of responsibility) to direct the implementation of important tasks, key national and city projects; urgent, sensitive tasks, pressing issues in the economic, cultural and social fields; important, breakthrough solutions.

Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Nguyen Van Hoa monitors and directs: Office of the City People's Committee; Department of Construction; Management Board of Can Tho Export Processing and Industrial Zones; Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Traffic and Agricultural Works of the City; Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction Using Official Development Assistance Fund of the City.

Mr. Hoa, on behalf of the Chairman, directly monitors and directs the fields of transportation, construction, urban development, economic zone development, industrial parks, and industrial clusters.

Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Vuong Quoc Nam monitors and directs: Department of Finance; Department of Industry and Trade; Center for Investment - Trade Promotion and Can Tho Exhibition Fair; City Development Investment Fund; Credit Guarantee Fund for small and medium enterprises; State-owned enterprises and enterprises with state capital managed by the City People's Committee; Office for Coordination of National Target Programs of Can Tho City.

Mr. Nam also represents the Chairman in directly monitoring and directing the fields of finance, banking, industry and trade, and business development.

Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Nguyen Van Khoi monitors and directs: Department of Science and Technology; Department of Education and Training; Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, Institute of Socio-Economics, Union of Science and Technology Associations; universities and colleges under the City People's Committee.

On behalf of the Chairman, Mr. Khoi directly monitors and directs the fields of education and training, science and technology, ethnicity and religion, labor and employment, policies for people with meritorious services, and social security.

Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Tran Chi Hung monitors and directs: Department of Agriculture and Environment; Department of Justice; City Land Fund Development Center; High-tech Agricultural Zone Management Board; Lung Ngoc Hoang Nature Reserve; City Cooperative Alliance; Office of the City Civil Defense Command.

On behalf of the Chairman, Mr. Hung directly monitors and directs the fields of agriculture and environment, poverty reduction, elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses; cooperative economy, state management of justice, construction and law enforcement.

Vice Chairwoman of Can Tho City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep monitors and directs: Department of Foreign Affairs; Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Department of Health; City Social Insurance; City Social Policy Bank; City Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board; City Union of Literature and Arts Associations.

On behalf of the President, Ms. Diep directly monitors and directs the fields of culture, sports and tourism, health, foreign affairs, radio and television.
