To ensure the health of its students, Nguyen Chich Secondary School (Dong Son) has flexibly adjusted its class schedule. While the weather is cooler in the mornings, allowing students to attend classes on time, the school has postponed the exam preparation session to 2:30 PM and extended it to 5:00 PM in the afternoons to help students avoid the heat.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hung, Principal of Nguyen Chich Secondary School, said: Following the directives of the Department of Education and Training, the school organized parent meetings and implemented exam preparation for the 10th grade entrance exam. After completing the regular curriculum, the school focused on exam preparation for students both in the morning and afternoon. However, in the morning, the school only allocated 4 exam preparation periods, alternating subjects to reduce pressure and boredom for students. In addition, the school also provided air conditioning, fans, and drinking water for students in the exam preparation classes.

To achieve his goal, Le Minh Dat says the road ahead is still full of challenges. His diligent studying sometimes makes him forget about the heat and the hardships.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich, a teacher at Nguyen Chich Secondary School, said: “With the prolonged hot weather, sometimes reaching 39 or 40 degrees Celsius, the school has had to overcome difficulties and adjust the class schedule to ensure students attend class regularly and are in a good mood for learning, so that students have a longer lunch break.”

At Minh Khai Secondary School ( Thanh Hoa City), the school proactively shifted exam preparation sessions for 9th-grade students to the morning to ensure their health.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, the school principal, said: “The school has 363 ninth-grade students, divided into 8 classes, of which 33 students registered to take the entrance exam for Lam Son Specialized High School. In the spirit of both improving the quality of general education and focusing on the quality of specialized education to prepare students for the entrance exam to Lam Son Specialized High School, the school has required teachers to both teach lessons in class and reinforce in-depth knowledge for students according to the exam structure of the Department of Education and Training. During the ‘final push’ phase, we will intensify practice with exam questions to strengthen test-taking skills, and also assign practice questions for students to complete at home to help them gain more knowledge to complete the exams.”
