Tan Vu Port surpasses 1 million TEU for 5 consecutive years.

Tan Vu Port has recorded a throughput exceeding one million TEU for the fifth consecutive year, affirming its role as one of the key container handling hubs in the North.

In the very first week of December 2025, the atmosphere at Tan Vu Port Branch ( Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company) became lively and enthusiastic as the 1 millionth TEU container was officially handled.

In the context of a shipping market still affected by many fluctuations and increasingly fierce competition, especially the trend of shifting cargo flows to the Lach Huyen deep-water port area, the impressive results of Tan Vu Port further demonstrate the outstanding efforts of its staff and workers. With a proactive, innovative, and united spirit, the unit has continuously optimized operational processes, improved service quality, ensured safety, productivity, and credibility with shipping lines, cargo owners, and domestic and international partners.

In 2025, cargo throughput at Tan Vu Port is expected to increase by nearly 10% compared to 2024, reaching approximately 1.1 million TEU by the end of the year. This result not only confirms the stable and sustainable growth of the unit but also makes a significant contribution to the overall achievements of Hai Phong Port. The success of Tan Vu Port, along with the effective operation of berths 3 and 4 at Lach Huyen, has significantly contributed to making Hai Phong Port the first and only port in the North to reach the milestone of 2 million TEU throughput in a single year.

Speaking at the ceremony celebrating the 1 million TEU milestone, representatives from Hai Phong Port acknowledged and commended the efforts, sense of responsibility, proactive innovation, and determination to overcome difficulties of the staff and workers of Tan Vu Port over the past period. Hai Phong Port leaders expressed confidence that, with its modern and integrated infrastructure and equipment, along with a highly experienced workforce, Tan Vu Port will continue to maintain its role as a shining example in Hai Phong Port's container handling operations.
