The Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department of the Hai Duong Provincial Police has summoned Dam Thanh Tung (born in 1988, residing in Quang Binh province) for questioning regarding his alleged fraudulent activities and appropriation of property.

At the police station, Tung confessed that he had used similar methods to defraud many people, stealing over 200 million VND.
Lieutenant Nguyen Dang Vinh (Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department, Hai Duong Provincial Police) stated that there is currently no scientific evidence to confirm that treating illnesses through spiritual practices (such as rituals and offerings) can cure diseases. Patients should be taken to hospitals and medical centers for consultation and treatment.
In particular, people should not listen to rumors and false information about healing through spiritual means; they should not transfer money to individuals when asked to pay for offerings or rituals, etc., to avoid the risk of losing money and suffering harm.
