Important bridge to promote people's mastery

On June 25, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City coordinated with the Steering Committee of the National Science Task "Promoting the core role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations for people to be masters in the new development period of the country" to organize a field survey seminar in Ho Chi Minh City.

Speaking at the seminar, Dr. Nguyen Huu Dung, member of the Presidium, former Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Head of the survey delegation, said, "Promoting the core role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio -political organizations so that the people can be the masters in the new development period of the country" is a national scientific task to be carried out from 2023 to 2026. The research results will contribute to explaining theoretical issues about the role of the people, promoting the role of the people as well as the viewpoint of the Party's leadership, the State's management, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations as the core so that the people can be the masters in the cause of promoting industrialization, modernization of the country and international integration today.

At the seminar, delegates focused on exchanging and sharing outstanding results in promoting the core role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and mass organizations in Ho Chi Minh City; at the same time, proposing solutions to innovate methods of propaganda, mobilization, and mass gathering; improving the effectiveness of social supervision and criticism; and promoting the role of the people in the cause of Party and government building.

Delegates said that, in the context of the country entering a new era of development, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations play an important fundamental and bridging role in maximizing the people's mastery.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations need to continue to promote propaganda, raise awareness of citizens' rights and obligations, and create favorable conditions for people to participate in contributing opinions to the process of building and perfecting laws, mechanisms and policies. At the same time, strengthen the role of supervision and social criticism of the activities of state agencies, officials and party members.
