Many meaningful activities
Ms. Nguyen Thi Cam Huong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union and President of the Provincial Children's Council, said: Currently, the province has 124 commune-level Children's Councils and 777 liên đội (federations of teams) with over 300,000 members.
Over the years, the movement "Vietnamese Children Emulating the Five Teachings of Uncle Ho" has been widely implemented, linked with many meaningful activities such as "Paying Gratitude," "Remembering the Source," journeys to historical sites, children's forums, flag-raising ceremonies, etc. Through these activities, it has contributed to nurturing in children a love for their homeland, national pride, and a sense of responsibility from a young age.
The youth organization movement is also becoming increasingly relevant and practical to children's lives. Models such as "Red Scarf House," "Bicycles to School," "Adopted Children of the Youth Union," scholarships, study corners, and health insurance support for disadvantaged students have become meaningful sources of encouragement, empowering many students to continue their education. Along with caring for their material well-being, the youth organization also focuses on creating an environment for children to develop comprehensively in terms of knowledge, skills, and character. From STEM education and digital skills to guidance on safe internet use, youth organization activities are increasingly aligned with the needs of children in the digital age.
The work of building the Youth Union organization, improving the quality of its members, and training the team of youth leaders has always been a priority. Innovations in Youth Union activities create appeal for students, helping to keep the "Youth Union flame" spreading throughout the school.
Under the roof of the Youth Union, many members strive in their studies, actively participate in movements, hone their skills, and mature day by day. Phan Cuong Thinh, the Youth Union leader of Tra Con Secondary School (Tra Con commune), is one of those outstanding individuals. For many years, Thinh has achieved the title of outstanding Youth Union member, all-around excellent student, and is a good child of Uncle Ho at the district level in 2025.
Besides being a good student, Thinh is also actively involved in group activities. For him, each movement is an opportunity to learn, improve himself, and live more responsibly within the group. "I find that each group activity helps me learn many new things, become more confident, and learn how to work in a team," Thinh shared.
For Pham Nguyen Ti Na, the team leader of Cho Lach Secondary School (Cho Lach commune), team activities have helped her mature in thought and action. Ti Na is a representative of the National "Good Children of Uncle Ho" program in 2025, participated in the "Simulated Children's Parliament " in 2024, and achieved many outstanding results in her studies and extracurricular activities.
According to Ti Na, the most valuable thing she gained from team activities was self-confidence and a sense of responsibility. “Through these activities, I learned how to listen, work in a team, and express my thoughts more clearly. Each experience helped me become more responsible towards the group and the community,” Ti Na said.
Nurturing young sprouts
Behind the growth and development of each team member is the dedicated support of those who work with the youth organization. They silently sow love, inspire, and keep the red scarf shining brightly in the childhood of schoolchildren.
Ms. Nguyen Hoang Dung, the head teacher in charge of the Youth Union at Tan Thieng B Primary School (Vinh Thanh commune), is one such person. Having dedicated many years to the Youth Union, she has always maintained her enthusiasm, love for her profession and for children, and constantly innovates activities to create beneficial playgrounds for students. Every day, she persistently accompanies her students with all her responsibility and affection. For her, the greatest joy is seeing her students become more confident and well-behaved after each group activity. "Just seeing students become more confident, more loving, and more united makes all the hard work worthwhile," Ms. Dung shared.
For Mr. Nguyen Van Lam, the head teacher in charge of the Youth Union at An Nhon Primary School (An Qui commune), Youth Union work is his passion. With students heavily influenced by social media and technology, he constantly strives to innovate activities to attract members and foster a greater love for the Youth Union movement. From skill-building playgrounds and experiential activities to small-scale projects, he organizes everything in a way that is engaging and lively, giving each student the opportunity to participate, practice, and develop themselves.
To ensure the continued strong development of youth work and the children's movement, Comrade Ho Thi Hoang Yen, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, requested that Party committees and authorities at all levels continue to pay attention to investing in the care and education of children and teenagers; and build a safe and healthy living environment for children to study and develop comprehensively.
At the same time, youth union and children's organization branches at all levels need to continue to strongly innovate the content and methods of their activities; build truly close and attractive organizations for children in the digital age; strengthen education on traditions, life skills, digital skills, and listen to the thoughts and aspirations of children so that activities become increasingly practical and effective.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee expressed his hope that each family and school would always be a loving support system, accompanying children with care, sharing, and responsibility. He also hoped that the young Pioneers and children would continue to be well-behaved and excel in their studies; actively develop physical fitness, life skills, and digital skills; use the internet safely and responsibly; show love and share, nurture beautiful dreams and a spirit of overcoming difficulties; be bold and creative, confidently integrate while always preserving national cultural identity, love for their homeland and country, and pride in being a Pioneer; actively train and strive to become good citizens, good children of Uncle Ho, contributing to building a more prosperous, civilized, and developed homeland.
