In late May 2026, we visited the production workshop of DK Viet Nhat Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd., where the atmosphere was one of enthusiastic production, with workers busily assembling and operating the production line. Taking us on a tour of the workshops, Ms. Hoang Thi Hue, Chairwoman of the Trade Union of DK Viet Nhat Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd., shared: Currently, the company employs over 130 workers, with ethnic minority workers accounting for over 68%. Over the years, to ensure the well-being of its employees, the company has proactively organized dialogue conferences, resolving insurance issues fully, correctly, and promptly; creating maximum opportunities for employees to study and improve their knowledge, professional skills, and career development. At the same time, the company focuses on caring for the material and spiritual well-being of its workers. Since 2022, the company has also implemented policies to support home construction, life insurance purchases, and gift-giving to show appreciation to long-term employees.
In addition, from the end of 2025 to the present, the company has added a policy of giving land for housing construction to long-serving employees. As a result, employees in the unit feel secure in their work and ensure that the set deadlines are met.
Mr. Phung Van Xuan, a worker at DK Viet Nhat Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd., said: "My family is in difficult circumstances; my wife is ill all year round, and I am the main breadwinner. Previously, my family lived in a dilapidated house but lacked the means to repair it. Understanding my situation, in 2024, the company provided 30 million VND to help my family renovate our house. This is a valuable source of motivation for me to continue working and staying with the company."
Not only Mr. Xuan, but over the past period, thousands of union members in the province have been and are being cared for by grassroots trade unions in enterprises with various benefits associated with labor and production emulation movements to encourage the spirit of workers.
Mr. Tran Viet Anh, Chairman of the Trade Union of Na Duong Thermal Power Plant Company, TKV, said: "In recent times, the company's trade union has always strived to take care of the material and spiritual lives of its staff and workers. Currently, the company has more than 260 staff and workers working in various departments and production workshops. Given the nature of the work, the unit always ensures that all benefits are provided to employees. At the same time, we focus on improving the quality of life for employees, such as: arranging transportation to and from the factory; supporting collective housing; providing adequate personal protective equipment... thereby helping employees feel secure in their work."
Similar to the two aforementioned enterprises, currently, 100% of the grassroots trade unions in these enterprises are implementing many practical activities, focusing on caring for the material and spiritual lives of their employees. In particular, many units have higher overtime pay, benefits, and allowances for activities ensuring the health and safety of workers than the set targets. As a result, in recent years, the province has not experienced any complex issues, complaints, or strikes due to labor relations conflicts within enterprises.
Mr. Luong Chi Cong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Labor Union, stated: Currently, the province has 143 grassroots trade unions in non-state enterprises and labor unions with 7,367 members and workers. Over the years, effectively fulfilling their role as a bridge to comprehensively care for union members, workers, and employees, grassroots trade unions in the enterprise sector throughout the province have grasped the aspirations of workers and organized many practical activities to protect the legitimate rights and interests of union members, such as organizing dialogues and signing collective labor agreements with many clauses that bring better benefits to workers... Through this, they have contributed to ensuring the rights and helping union members and workers feel secure in their work and production in the locality.
Through concrete activities and efforts to protect the practical rights and interests of workers, grassroots trade unions in the province have become a solid "support" and a bridge between workers and businesses. This contributes to creating a favorable environment for workers to feel secure in their jobs, improving the quality of production and business, and promoting the sustainable development of businesses in Lang Son .
